Rotterdam Codarts'da gerçekleştirmiş olduğumuz workshopta gurbet havası ve Teke zortlatmalarından örnekler çalıştık. 1 saat gibi kısa bir sürede oldukça güzel bir uyum sağlayan Hollanda'lı keman öğrencisi @wandelendevioliste ki esas alanı Tango müziği, Macar keman öğrencisi @sunbpi ve İran'lı kamança öğrencisi @mostafataleb_ ile çok güzel bir ders yaptık. Ellerinize sağlık arkadaşlar....🍀👏🎶

In the workshop we held at Codarts Rotterdam, we worked on examples of "gurbet havası" melodies and "Teke zortlatması" rhythms. We had a wonderful session with Dutch violin student @wandelendevioliste—whose primary focus is actually tango music—alongside Hungarian violin student @sunbpi and Iranian kamancheh student @mostafataleb_; they achieved impressive musical synergy in such a short time—just one hour. Great job, everyone... 🍀👏🎶

25–29 July • Sadashiva Dham • Veluwe, Netherlands

This July, we warmly invite you to gather at Sadashiva Dham, a peaceful forest ashram in the Veluwe, to celebrate Guru Purnima — a traditional full moon celebration dedicated to the Guru, the source of wisdom, guidance, and inspiration.

Inspired by the teachings of Haidakhan Babaji, these days will be filled with kirtan (devotional singing), satsang, havans (sacred fire ceremonies), meditation, shared vegetarian meals, and time spent together in nature.

Of course, there will also be chai, chatting around the fire, quiet moments, laughter, meaningful conversations, and a warm sense of community— an hour drive from Amsterdam.

Whether you join us for a day or for the full gathering, whether you are already familiar with these traditions or simply curious to learn more, you are warmly welcome.

Fifteen years ago, I left Hungary and began a journey that would take me far from the place I once called home. Time passes, countries change, life moves forward—but some parts of us never stop longing for where we come from.

One of the greatest gifts along the way has been sharing Hungarian songs with Abris. Through his violin and our music, I am reminded of my roots, my childhood memories, and the pieces that distance could never erase.

There is something incredibly powerful about hearing the melodies that shaped you, especially when you’re far from home. They bring back emotions, stories, and a sense of belonging that words often cannot express.

Abris, thank you for helping me stay connected to a part of myself that I cherish deeply. These moments mean more to me than I can say.

No matter how far we travel, our roots continue to sing within us
