Weeds don’t take a season off, and neither do we. Before our plots are filled with dahlias, celosia and amaranth, we’re occulating— covering the soil with silage tarps and letting the Sierra Nevada sun cook out weed seeds, fungal spores, and pathogens that would otherwise compete with our blooms all season long. No herbicides. No fumigants.
Just heat, time, and a little patience. It’s slower. It’s more intentional. And it means the flowers that end up in your wedding bouquet were grown in soil that has been cared for by our team 👩‍🌾👩‍🌾 #laketahoeweddingflorist #laketahoeweddingflowers #flowerfarm #bananabreadbaddies #slowflowers

Part of a meaningful experience at a supper is the atmosphere. Touches of carefully placed art make the communal table deeply immersive and inviting. As luck would have it, Nevada City is home to an extraordinary artist, some may call her @snowbroth_ , others @sunfunnels , but also @juli_elin . She has many names! She brought the Dali inspired tablescape of our dreams to life.

@lonelyhartclub sure does know how to supper. Last night’s @pollyspaladarsupperclub was superb. The flowers by @sunfunnels were unexpected and delightful, the food by @flosography was delicious and the company was next level. So happy it coincided with Daniela’s birthday to get to celebrate her.

Our first show at the Parsonage Annex was absolutely magical. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this intimate evening downtown. The music was fabulous and the company was extra special. It’s always a pleasure to host gatherings in this community.

The room felt extra beautiful with flower installations from @snowbroth_ @sunfunnels. Thank you to @origenholisticspirits for providing a taste of yummy grapefruit and @nalinakaufman for capturing a few lovely shots to remember the evening. Beverly’s homemade cookies were the cherry on top.
