I love you (I do, but hecklers get curated) Read, feel, collaborate. Love is a verb, not a feeling. Robots begone!

There are 50 more on my playlist from the decade deep house went into hiding.

SF Instant Photowalk September.

The challenge theme for this walk was “near and far”. @sunshine_jones_ won the challenge with his great diptych and I got runner up with this shot of the dumpster in the foreground and yachts behind it.

📍documenting the end of an era :: goodbye to the Foundry. we will miss this space as we knew it.

i am grateful for the countless nights spent in such a historic venue, experiencing legends serve sonic soundscapes to educate the ravers. being at the foundry felt like going to school (in the best way).

it was an inexplicable energy that felt humbling, reminded us to respect rave history and our nightlife elders, to do the homework, to understand sound, to appreciate art.

✨the foundry's renovation and resilience, eclectic curation & iconic presence in SF nightlife for the last four years should not be lost to the ether. the original team did something beautiful to disrupt the city's music bubble and it did it well.

i saw my first @wicked__records @sunsetsoundsystem shows here. our @inquirycollective @wut.music family saw this place as a landmark, a playground, a classroom. my favorite @sunshine_jones_ set ever happened here. the best conversations we had in the offices still sing in my head. @kaipora asleep on the couches. @bartek.industries ripping on the danleys. @blackandwhitesoundltd with the 360 stage.

🙏thank you to the OGs that cultivated and cared for this space: @not_your_dads_ig, @galensunset, Alan, Andres, Manny, @knowaudio, @adyingcow, @nineandeye & many other key figures who poured their heart and souls into this establishment. I am proud and inspired by you all.

At the end of July, Ty and I cried-laughed-screamed our way thru saying sayonara to our 2nd home. It was a foundation for our relationship. A safe space filled with our glory days. I don't know if I can ever step foot into that building again.

🖊️ Here's a few of my most cherished moments from spring 2022-July 2026 at The Foundry. They don't even begin to capture my love for it.

⏩ I am making a scrapbook (digital & irl) to document this era as a gift to Alan, the previous owner. I'd love for you to be a part of it.

👋🏼 I'm seeking anyone willing to share a few words about their fav parties/memories/encounters here over the last few years. Tell us in the comments. DM me for the link to upload pics and videos. Let's honor its memory.

Farewell, Foundry. onwards we go.

@sfinstantphotowalk - July Edition
The theme for this walk was light leaks and sun damage for me lol. I've got a few more Polaroids that are all white.
Shoutout to @achengphotos for helping me troubleshoot throughout the walk. Apparently the strip of black plastic that's supposed to protect the photos from light was bent inward, and whenever I opened the film door, light got in. I kept opening the film door (in direct sunlight 😑), because I don't have a frog tongue on this particular SX-70, so I use a darkslide to protect the photos.
The color Polaroids are from another camera, and those are just sun damaged...
Despite all of the camera troubles, it was still a fun walk! Thanks to @vyletfemme and @cromschu for leading it!
We started at The Ramp Restaurant and made our way toward the Dogpatch Saloon. @_instaniki, @sunshine_jones_, @daremoshiranai, @rislim, and I never made it there because we stopped for some delicious pupusas on the way.
Then we made our way to the @sfartbookfair and met with our friend @mrdannysanchez
Thank you all, see you in Portland and the next photowalk!

From the July SF Instant Photowalk through Dogpatch. And afterwards, swung by the SF Art Book Fair and I picked up this David Hume Kennerly book from @themesandprojects.
