I haven’t been to the new Ikea in Brighton so I don’t know if it’s any good. What is good though is this weeks radio show.
Some excellent tracks. I didn’t write or perform em so I think it’s def not ego when I say that.

WAREHOUSE FIND!!

Sunwatchers teamed up with Eugene Chadbourne for two days of recording in October 2016 which resulted in SUNWATCHERS AND EUGENE CHADBOURNE’s 3 Characters 2xLP/Digital (AMI 050). Sold out soon after it was released in 2018, we just found two boxes of LPs which are now available on the label Bandcamp. Once they are gone, they are gone.

(Link in the bio)

These sessions were dedicated exclusively to the music of the Minutemen, Doug Sahm and Henry Flynt. Having never played together before, all the songs were completed in one or two takes and the recordings reflect an urgency and immediacy that audiences have to come to expect from these musicians.

Mike Watt joins the conversation with spoken interpretations of lyrics, poetry, speeches and assorted agit-prop.

DOCTOR EUGENE CHADBOURNE: Acoustic and Electrical Guitars, Banjo, Dobro, Lead Vocals

SUNWATCHERS:
PETER KERLIN: Bass
JIM MCHUGH: Electric 6 and 12-string Guitars, Electric Phin, Backing Vocals on “It’s Gonna Be Easy”

🐐2025.20🧠
Goat - S/T: (Goatbrain splat, Levitation ed. Rocket/2024) The latest LP from Sweden's mysterious experimental psychedelic shamans! Superb album, some of their most refined and accessible tunes yet!
•
Osees - SORCS 80: (green/magenta moonphase, Castle Face/2024) A frizzle fried psychedelic synth punk stomper from John Dwyer & Co! Another great entry in the ever morphing Osees canon.
•
Anywhere - S/T (2012): (electric blue, ORG/2022) The debut LP from this awesome psych rock supergroup feat. the likes of Cedric Bixler-Zavala, Mike Watt, Christian Beaulieu & more! I somehow missed this 10th anniversary reissue on release, glad I was still able to scoop it at a low price!
•
Melts - Field Theory: (green, Fuzz Club/2024) Killer crunchy electronic psych/krautrock band out of Ireland! This latest LP is a major jammer from front to back.
•
The Murlocs - Young Blindness (2016): (green/yellow w/red splat, ATO/2024) Finally snagged me a copy of this classic banger from Ambrose Kenny-Smith & the gang! This album was my intro to ol' Uncle Murl back in the day and it's still one of my favorites.
•
Sunwatchers - Illegal Moves: (red/blue swirl, Trouble in Mind/2019) Stellar psychedelic jazz fusion band! These guys are wild and this whole album is a total blast, I really need to grab more of their stuff!
•
Dungen - En Är För Mycket och Tusen Aldrig Nog: (grey marble, VMP ex. Mexican Summer/2022) The latest LP from another one of Sweden's finest psych bands! Excellent as always, these guys truly never disappoint IMO.
•
Melody's Echo Chamber - Emotional Eternal: (red, Domino/2022) Lovely French psych rock/dream pop bliss! Melody never fails to deliver sweet hypnotic tunes that'll make you feel like you're drifting off on a warm breeze.
•
Ancient River - The House of Stone: (gold, Little Cloud/2020) Rad album that seemlessly blends elements of folk, garage rock, & heavy psych! Super underrated band that deserves far more recognition.
