Being an independent artist can be tough. We have to balance paying our bills, maintaining relationships, and staying consistent all while life throws trials and tribulations along the way. This past weekend felt like the perfect portrait of what that can entail all within one trip. Went from my bartending shift on Fremont, straight to the airport to hop on my 6 hour flight to Hawaii. Got some sleep on the plane and squeezed in a quick nap at the hotel before soundcheck. Hit my set around 9:45 and got to let loose for the night. Pop up networking at a record shop the next day, then OF COURSE you gotta grab some content when you’re on a beautiful island. I feel blessed to have positioned myself in a way to be able to be aggressive when opportunity presents itself. The endless grinding really doesn’t feel so bad when you get to share your art in front of some humans and feel their energy shift when they can absorb what you put out. That’s a moment that makes it all worth it.

GIANT shout out to @dotwav.official, my brother @jag_gatz, and everyone at #TidalWav3 for showing love. Still can’t believe I got to open for the legends @bluherfavcolor & @exileradio in f*ckin Hawaii man, life can be a dream. 💭

We won Hip Hop Album of the Year at the 2026 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards!! Mahalo to all of the artists and musicians who helped put this album together @supergroupers @illnomadic @drifton_limrik @punahele695 @rx.kapu @lord___mo @inalihi @kelseaarmstrong @gilly_hix @kicknurosawa @iwinchester @zenburecords 🎨@spel_killz

This was the 14th album I have submitted and after all the dedication, hardwork, perseverance, and countless hours sharpening my craft, it all paid off. Never give up. Never lose focus. Never forget who you are and where you come from.

My work has been inspired by all the amazing creatives around me. 愛する妻、愛ちゃんへ, thank you for supporting and encouraging me to keep telling my story. Thank you to my friends and family who since day 1 have supported my music. To my mentors, DJ Cheapshot, Aloe Blacc, and Exile, thank you for getting me into this audacious world. Arigatou @uniaholehole who warms my studio with his glowing soul 🐾.

I have a lot more stories to tell. I have more work to do, stay tuned!
