This autumn’s design season has started quite a whirlwind, and we’re only now finding a moment to look back at Soft & Solid, the exhibition at Editory.

We’re incredibly grateful to Edit for inviting TIKTIK Studio to exhibit our rugs. The quality of the curatorial work and the attention to detail made the exhibition truly special, and it was an honour to be part of it.

DIS(PLAY) 🏓

Born from the friendship of two graphic designers playing ping pong in the parks and bars of Berlin and Geneva, Supersmash turns the humble paddle into a fun canvas for all of us artists. I did one, so did @sebacuri @andreas.samuelsson @superniceletters and many more talented peeps.

Each one is assembled by hand using FSC-certified wood and shipped from Germany. (Malika)

Happy 1st birthday to US! TIKTIK Studio started exactly a year ago, with big dreams and true passion for bringing sustainable design to life. 🦋🧁

The big confirmation of TIKTIK's first year was seeing that the model we had imagined from the beginning actually works. TIKTIK rapidly grew as a network-based art project, where building connections is just as important as making objects.

The encouraging feedback we received from galleries, curators, and the artists themselves reassured us that this approach is both meaningful and viable. As two trained sociologists, it's been fascinating for us to witness the dynamics of this network-building process from within - our lives became so much richer with TIKTIK! Thank you for staying with us! 💜

Carmi Grau @superniceletters removes anything unnecessary until only the essentials remain. Based in Berlin, she turns natural forms into black-and-white compositions that are simple but precise. Each piece is carefully constructed, where line and contrast do most of the work. The result is minimal, but very intentional. #CarmiGrau #ContemporaryDrawing #MinimalArt

I’ve always been a quote girly. My most-pinned board is lovingly named “r e m i n d e r s”, because way back when the aesthetic of Pinterest board titles apparently mattered. And that’s not the only embarrassing thing about it, either — some of the quotes like “beware of comfort” and “don’t be lazey, be amazey” make me cringe too. 😆 But I continue to add to it, look at it, giggle at it, and enjoy the colorful typography and appreciate the inspiring creatives that make these things that help me along the way. 🧠📝💛
