It was absolutely wicked working on the campaign for #BlackOps with the talented team at #bbcstudios. You know who you are 😉 😘xx If you haven’t seen this brilliant show yet, catch the final ep tonight at 9:30pm on @bbc or @bbciplayer. Support our British born black talent as they’re killing it right now!!. Big up to @akemnji and Gbemisola Ikumelo for their genius writing skills and all the stars in front and behind the scenes. So proud of this changing landscape!

My heart is full on this day where we celebrate all the amazing women in our lives.

Last night I sat down to watch my friend’s brilliant film That Great British Documentary and was filled with such immense pride that Joan had told her story in such a moving way (with a kick-ass team of women and men along the way!) It was emotional - whilst it deals primarily with the legacy of her dual heritage it also touches on this year’s International Women’s Day theme of #EmbraceEquity and inclusion. It’s not about everybody having the same thing, it is about everybody getting what they need in order to improve the quality of their situation.

If you do get a chance, please do watch it, it’s on BBC iplayer: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001jwty

Thank you to all the fabulous women I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know past and present, who continue to uplift, support, inspire, nurture and cherish and who are day-by-day making small and big waves to building that world where difference is valued and celebrated.

Happy International Women’s Day!

👏👏👏🎬🎥We went to the (pre tv) screening of our friend JoanJoan’s ‘THAT GREAT BRITISH DOCUMENTARY’ last night. Wow wow wow, it’s a master piece. Seriously it is! (and it’s not just because she is our friend and old colleague). JoanJoan bravely tells her own story and in the process flips the script on the worn out colonial narrative. She shows us the uncomfortable truth about our shared British history with humour and brilliance.
This is a a must watch!!!! Monday the 6th at 10:40pm on BBC1
