heres my super big secret im dropping... the DL / vegas intel on the best team to enlist:
1. balloons | Guadalupe @lv.creations_treats
2. food | Leo @chanekita_tacos_lv
3. drinks | Dani @elevatedspirits.bydani
4. photobooth | Roger visualphotobooth
5. hand painted banner | Shantel @midnightmercydesigns
6. tables chairs linens | Maria @rosispartyrental

of course I have hired others for events but this is by far the best team and crew I have ever had thus far. mind you im always updating and improving to meet my standards, changes and budgets.

one of my favorite personal touches was adding the giveaway bag, which was a towel in a bag that I found on sale at Costco for $3.

coordinating the color schemes and themes with each of the vendors was especially fun and of course I loved putting together the cocktail menu, probably most of all. I absolutely love the creative process and meeting new people, and it was a delight to work with our balloon designer as well. it was honestly a pleasure to work with every single person on this team!!! follow for more... will be sharing much more!

Did George Washington play Rock, Paper, Scissors?

Washington is reputed to have played it with Cornwallis and the Comte de Rochambeau to decide who would be the last to leave Cornwallis’s tent after the signing of the British surrender at Yorktown in 1781. (The story goes that Rochambeau won, which is why the game is still called Ro-Sham-Bo in some quarters.)”

The game of rock, paper, scissors originated in China and dates back to the Han dynasty(206 BCE–220 CE). The first known mention of the game was in the book Wuzazu by Xie Zhaozhi, a writer from the Ming dynasty. The game was called shoushiling in the book.

The game spread from China to Japan, where it was called “Jon Ken Pon”. The Japanese version of the game was influenced by the Chinese version, and the rules and form of the game changed slightly. The game eventually made its way to Europe in the early 20th century and to the United States in the 1930s.

The name “Rochambeau” is sometimes associated with the game, but there is no proof that the game is named after the French nobleman who helped defeat the British in the Revolutionary War. One theory is that the Children’s Bureau attached the name “Rochambeau” to the game to make it feel less “foreign” to English-speaking children.
