During the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute in DC @chciphx, @phxdistrict4 and I made it a priority to meet with some of Arizona’s congressional offices to talk about the critical needs of our constituents. We discussed essential topics, including immigration, funding for parks, and early childhood education. We also advocated for the importance of passing Arizona’s Alternative Nicotine and Vape Tax, which would provide crucial funding for @azfirstthingsfirst. Proud to ensure our local voices are heard on the national level @repyassansari @adelitasgrijalva

Great news for Pima County’s small businesses!

We’re proud to announce a new collaboration between the Southern Arizona Hispanic Chamber and Pima County to launch the Business Safety & Beautification Grant, an investment designed to help small businesses create safer, stronger, and more welcoming spaces throughout our community.

A special shoutout to District 5 Supervisor Andrés Cano for his leadership in bringing this opportunity forward and for his continued commitment to the small businesses and neighborhoods that help make Pima County what it is.

We’re grateful to the entire Pima County Board of Supervisors for their unanimous support and for trusting our Chamber to be good stewards of this important investment.

Because when we invest in small businesses, we invest in people. We invest in neighborhoods. And we invest in a stronger Southern Arizona.

More details coming soon! 🌵

Summer nights at the Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum were all fun and activities. We also got to see and learn more about our beautiful desert animals.

Mountain Mamas was honored to partner with Pima County this year to celebrate 10 years of the Multi Species Conservation Plan, and 25 years of the Sonoran Desert Conservation Plan.

Thank you to @supervisorandrescano for the invitation to celebrate such meaningful milestones in conservation.

Mamas, if you didn't get to the Desert Museum for summer nights, don't worry because the weather is cooling off, the desert animals are coming out to play, and you are just in time to visit the Desert Museum.

@theninjaferret showed up all over the community, witnessing and capturing stories in marginalized spaces. I remember taking this pic of him at our Alex Pretti vigil in front of the VA. He was so sweet and always an ally. Clearly, hundreds of people in our community felt the same way.

I’m glad this is making national news. The world needs to hear that hateful words lead to acts of violence.

Rest in Peace, Cameron. I’m sorry you and Vincent were taken in this way. We will keep fighting for our LGTBQ+ friends, who deserve to feel safe in every corner of this world.
