To: My best friend, Another year around the sun! You’re growing. I can see it in your steps, your voice, the way you think and the way you look at the world. And still, when I watch you, I can’t help but see the little boy who grew with me. I wish I could tell you what it feels like from where I stand. It’s love & pride But it’s also a kind of ache, like my heart is trying to hold both you and that first version of you at the same time. The older you get, the more real your “now” becomes, and the more I remember that I once held you when the day felt brand new, when your needs were my whole universe. I want you to know, Growth is messy. Becoming is brave & if there are days when you feel unsure, days when you want to hide instead of try, please remember that I’ll battle the world with you. I hope you keep your kindness even when the world gets loud. I hope you learn the power of saying what you mean and meaning what you say. I hope you chase the things that make you feel alive, and that you let the things that weigh you down go, even if it takes time. I hope you know that bravery isn’t the absence of fear, it’s what you do while you feel it. I also hope you never forget how deeply you are supported & loved. Happy birthday my love 💙

You make everyone around you feel special and seen. Your laugh is felt everywhere you go & your hugs are something I look forward to everyday. Happy 6th bday my girl 💙 Nunca dejes de disfrutar esta vida!
