De feestdagen staan voor de deur! 🎄

Am I being too harsh on Jong PSV? 🇳🇱

▪️2/4
After Jong AZ, I’ve now ticked off Jong PSV as well. Meaning I’ve visited 50% of the ‘Jong’ teams in the Eerste Divisie. I’m not sure when I’ll visit Jong Ajax and Jong FC Utrecht, but it has to be done. I didn’t expect much from my visit to Jong AZ, but it was even worse than I thought. I really tried not to be too harsh on Jong PSV, because the experience was way better than I expected. Why? Watch the video, and I might tell you.

▪️12/20
I’ve ticked off two out of four ‘Jong’ teams, but I have to visit eight more clubs in total. Besides Jong Ajax and Jong FC Utrecht, I also still got to visit Roda JC, RKC Waalwijk, FC Dordrecht, TOP Oss, FC Emmen and FC Eindhoven. Another trip to Eindhoven, lol. There are some that I actually look forward to, like Roda JC and FC Dordrecht, but also some that I already assume will be a ‘skip’. But never judge a book by it’s cover.

▪️September
August is in the books, so we move on to September. What’s next? Well, I’m taking a little vacation. But this just means I’ll be watching móre football, lol. This upcoming Saturday I’ll be at AS Roma-Atalanta. I’d also like to visit Frosinone-Venezia and Cagliari-Lecce, but I still don’t have tickets. But hopefully it will get sorted in the next few days. The week after I’ll be back in my beloved Czech Republic. I’ve already got a ticket for Viktoria Plzeň-Sigma Olomouc and I would also like to visit Slovan Liberec-Mlada Boleslav.

This Jong team actually plays in a stadium 🇳🇱

▪️Jong stadiums
Let’s be honest, nobody really wants to visit ‘Jong’ teams. But since I want to visit ALL stadiums in the Dutch Eerste Divisie, I have to visit all four Jong teams. I went to Jong AZ, and now I’ve been to Jong PSV. And out of the four Jong teams, PSV probably has the best ‘stadium’. But was it worth a visit? I’ll let you know in my upcoming review video.

▪️Jong PSV
Most people hate them, ‘Jong’ teams in Dutch football. You never know what you’re gonna get, because either you get players from the U19 team or players that usually play for the first team. ‘Jong’ basically means U23. Although, there is an exception. When a Jong team plays vs. another Jong team, they are allowed to play a goalkeeper that’s older than 23. Weird rule, but it’s true. To be fair, the Dutch rules in general are strange.

▪️50% completed
Visiting Jong PSV means I’ve now completed half of the ‘Jong’ teams. Previously I went to Jong AZ-MVV (1-2) and now I’ve also ticked off Jong PSV. This means I’ve only got Jong Ajax and Jong FC Utrecht left. I’m not sure when I’ll attend either Ajax or FC Utrecht, but most likely it won’t happen before GTA VI comes out, lol. I’ve got eight stadiums in the Eerste Divisie left, but since I’m spending most of September in Italy and the Czech Republic, it seems unlikely that I’ll complete the Keuken Kampioen Divisie before November 19th.
