Update!

The PG&E substation flooded earlier today and power is out through the city until further notice.

All road leaving and coming into Morro Bay are closed with the exception of Hwy 46 North of Morro Creek.

Please report downed trees or branches as a result of the storm using the city’s online service request system: https://www.morrobayca.gov/983/Service-Request

City of Morro Bay has declared state of emergency for the City of Morro Bay and are doing their best to get information out during this power outage.

Shelters are being set up at Del Mar Elementary School (501 Sequoia St) if you are in North Morro Bay, and the Morro Bay Community Centee (1001 Kennedy Way) in South Morro Bay.

People are encouraged to stay home if possible. Check back to their Facebook page for updates.

PG&E updates:
Customers can get updates on outages in their neighborhood through a variety of channels:
1. Contract PG&E’s outage information line at 1-800-743-5002
2. Access the outage map online at www.pge.com
3. Customers can also login to their account through www.pge.com and sign up to receive proactive outage alerts through email, text, or phone

readyslo.org has good information and a link to real time data monitoring of rainfall and streams.

The Waze app has up to date information on road closures and traffic incidences. It is linked to multiple emergency organizations, including CalTrans and CHP.

Please stay safe out there!

These last nights...my dreams reminded me of your bright and brilliant light and how much my heart has grown because, well, because of you.
