Quick pitstop to @surfasla ☀️

Wanted to pick up these tinned fish 🐟

Definitely worth the visit! And the parking wasn’t too bad 🙂

Glad that September is finally over. One of the most hectic months of this year 🫨

On the bright side: went to horror nights, finally got to try a Mango Cart, another month of having pretty nails, bought more tinned fish, visited the Lucas Museum on opening weekend, and bought my Christmas cards for this year

Big news in a small bottle: Oliváki is officially on the shelves at Surfas on Washington Blvd, LA 🫒
If you know, you know - Surfas is the kind of place where you go in for a whisk and come out with a 5kg block of Belgian chocolate, a meat mincer and three pizza wheels you never knew you needed. Since 1937, this Culinary District warehouse has been LA’s answer to,“where do the chefs shop?”
Now our Early Harvest, unblended Greek EVOO gets a spot on the shelf. Find us in the oil aisle, where the good stuff lives 😊🇬🇷

GRILLED BRAZILIAN SPINEY ROCK LOBSTER 🦞 Crack open, salt and pepper, olive oil, on a hot hot grill. Just to get those char marks.

Remove them off the grill and place them on a wire rack in a 1/2 sheet pan. Cook in the oven at 200° for the next 30 minutes basting them lots of salted butter with tons of freshly minced garlic and smoked paprika. The result?

One of the most succulent crustaceans EVER!
