Long weeks spent at the beach in Peru training for the ISA and surfing heats for team USA @usasurfing . Every heat was challenging and different but I had so much fun getting to wake up and surf a new heat everyday. Fell short on finals day in the semis with a 5th in the world but still grateful for the experience, learning, and team silver. 🇺🇸 Thank you @pyzelsurfboards for making such fun boards to ride!! Thank you to the team who was so much fun to compete with. Thank you Coach @ryansimmons1374 @endlesssummersurfobx @traxel and PTs Isaiah and Warren and of course @beckyfleischauerjewell . Coach Ryan “Simmo” Simmons checking in from Day 6 at the 2025 @isasurfing World Junior Surfing Championship in Peru 🇺🇸🌊🇵🇪

“Our coaches are so stoked on this crew. This is a gold medal 🥇 team and we’re still in the hunt with 10 surfers into Day 7. Kylie Pulcini and Olivia Storrer were eliminated today in wave-starved heats where they barely had a chance to surf, which is always tough. But they’ve shifted straight into support mode, and the team cohesion is still super strong.”

👊 Girls U18:
• 2023 Silver Medalist Lanea Mons found a gem and lacerated it with 7–8 big turns to keep USA momentum rolling.
• Avery McDonald power surfed her way into the next round with sharp rights and lefts.

🔥 Boys U18
• Dane Libby went Lofty Libby with a huge frontside air reverse going right into the left for a 7.67 and the heat win.
• Captain Will Deane literally surfed over rocks and urchins to secure the dub and push the team forward.
• Laird Lavik stayed composed in a tactical battle, using smart surfing and strategy to get the job done.

💥 Girls U16:
• Victoria Duprat and Bailey Turner went to work tearing apart Punta Rocas and both advanced.
• Bailey dropped an 8.43 with 19 minutes left… then didn’t stand up again until the 1-minute mark, leaving coaches a little nervous 😛 but it all worked out.

10 surfers remain. The energy is high. We have the absolute best support from parents and staff. Team USA is locked in for Day 7 🤙🏽💥
