Where Flamingos Surf..

So excited to release this baby into the world - hopefully, my first of many boards to come because flamingos and surfing is kinda like peanut butter and jelly.

This one was donated to @surfriderjerseyshore Art For The Ocean Art Show & Fundraiser - happening this Saturday at @thegallery619_ssh in Seaside Heights, NJ!

Special shout out to Nick at @surfnspark for the donated board - I opted to keep the original shape - can’t imagine how many memories this one holds and waves this one has ridden. I wanted to preserve that concept - more on process to come!

The Bradley Beach Historical Society (BBHS) invites the Jersey Shore Community to celebrate Lifeguards & Surfers: Heroes of the Sand & Surf on Sunday, June 7, 2026 from 6 – 8 PM at the Bradley Beach Firehouse Banquet Hall.
Panelist of Lifeguards followed by a panel of Surfers.
An engaging exhibit researched and designed by Vinnie Dicks. Refreshments will feature Aloha Eats, mouth-watering TropiCali Cuisine from FINS, our Silver Whistle Event Sponsor. Hand-crafted surfboards by local artists will be on view along with local vendors offering a tempting array of sea-worthy Merch just in time for the summer season.

Kicking off this first summer event will be New York Times Bestselling author David Litt reading from his wickedly funny memoir, It’s Only Drowning – A True Story of Learning to Surf and the Search for Common Ground. Litt will moderate a panel of ocean-loving locals with years of experience keeping visitors off the jetty as well as swimmers, dunkers, and screaming kiddies safe within the ropes. Long-time lifeguards and surfers will share stories covering topics from surf culture to competitions, rescues, and racy teen romances.
Refreshments will feature Aloha Eats, mouth-watering TropiCali Cuisine from FINS, our Silver Whistle Event Sponsor. Hand-crafted surfboards by local artists will be on view along with an engaging exhibit researched and designed by Sea Girt historian Vinnie Dicks.
