Back in 2022, around the time of our twentieth anniversary as a club, our Korean center back Pep Kim embarked on a mission to create a visual document of the community at the heart of Chinatown Soccer Club. Following premieres in New York City, Montreal, Seoul, Beijing and Shanghai, his film “Broken Femur” is now available to watch online. Much love to all the current and former members as well as anybody who supported the club over the years. 🔥🧃One of the coolest experiences back in Japan this May, was to go watch Sumo for the first time in my life for me. Thank you very much for taking us @nori_kooo 🔥🧃I caught the fever as Nori, a life time big Sumo fan had put his hard earned ¥ to put an advertisement flag for @sunshinejuicetokyo on his favorite #Rikishi #Yoshinofuji 🔥🧃you can see the red flag with white writing saying “Body Shining Sunshine Juice”on second slide🔥🧃we went with Mine san who designed the flag (the original logo is by Mike Ming @surfnuts195 )n his partner Yuko san who taught me that even the referees go up in their ranks as the first referee don’t get to wear sandals and go barefoot, and gradually they put the tabi socks n sandals on as the match go up with higher rank Rikishis etc..🔥🧃we matched the timing and screamed out Yoshinofuji’s name in unison, that was so fun n I think it helped..!? 🔥🧃Also it was incredible to see them coming into the matches in their cutest summer kimonos sandals n bags, right up my fashion agendas..🔥🧃they gave us so much food as we came and left, to take in big paper bags..🔥🧃Yoshinofuji won that day and he did superb in the season, earning Kanto-sho, fighting spirit prize🔥🧃thank you!!🔥🧃 この5月のジャパン帰国で最高に楽し熱かったのが初めてのお相撲観戦でした。小さい頃お相撲さんになりたかったというノリくんが、気合いを入れて一生の思い出にとサンシャインジュースの懸賞旗(2枚目のスライドの紅白の旗です)を大好きな　#義ノ富士関 に出したい！と言い出した数ヶ月前から私も相撲沼にズブズブと引き込まれ。。旗をデザインして頂いた峯さんとパートナーでお相撲に詳しいゆうこさんとご一緒して色々教えてもらいました。行事さんまで裸足からだんだん足袋、草履とランクが上がって行くことや、土俵入りのカッコよさや最後の弓取り式の渋さや、国技館に入るとたっつけ袴の相撲茶屋の方が席まで案内してくれて大きな紙袋に入ったお弁当やらおつまみをくれて飲み物の注文までとってくれること、じゃいこの知らない世界はめくるめいておりました。せーの、って4人で声を合わせて「ヨシノフジ〜！！」って一生懸命応援したのがまたむっちゃ気持ち良く。。国技館に出入りするお相撲さん達のファッションもドツボすぎて興奮冷めやらぬまますっかり1相撲ファンになってしまいましたとさ。。。ノリくん、そして当日勝ってくれた上素晴らしいシーズンで敢闘賞を獲得された義ノ富士関、どうもありがとうございました！15日間本当に楽しませていただきました🙏🏼これからも応援しています。
