A week in my life

@surfpixs Ron Johnson an amazing Oahu/ Waikiki photographer invited Rosie and I to surf Queens and he would shoot us. We paddled over from the Outrigger Reef @outriggerreef for a beautiful sunrise session. The views of Diamond Head and Waikiki in the background cannot be beat, spectacular. The surf was small, but the water was warm and we were in paradise. Thank you Ron. Check out his page and also his amazing dog S’mores @smoresthesurfdog @surfpixs Mahalo for the great shots

Outrigger Reef Waikiki is the perfect place for your Hawaiian vacation. Bonus that it is so dog friendly. Rosie loved staying there. The lobby and shops on the ground floor seemed like paradise. The rooms are beautiful large and so comfortable. We could check the surf from our balcony with a great view of Pop’s surf break. The pool was awesome (don’t tell Rosie that is where we were) The dining is top notch with Monkey Pod, amazing food and the best Mai Tai I had in Hawaii. Pool side dining had some awesome food and cocktails. It is so close to the bustle and excitement Waikiki yet far enough out where you can catch your breath. It was really easy to walk down to the beach and paddle straight out to Pop’s and even over to Queens. We got some great surfing in. The Surf footage was at Queen’s , courtesy of Ron Johnson @surfpixs local Waikiki Surf Photographer. Thank you to the staff at Outrigger Reef Waikiki you took such good care of us. Mahalo🤙 We absolutely cannot wait to come back next year for the @dukes_oceanfest Humbled to be invited to the Dukes Legend’s reception. That was amazing.

When you are in Waikiki, Oahu and find out from our photographer & videographer @surfpixs & @_________ck_____________ that @accessurf_hawaii is doing their beach day 10 minutes from our hotel (oh only once a year at this location too)! We found out the event was full & closed, but I really wanted to participate with them! Guess what disability & disease is on the list - Multiple Sclerosis! Access Surf was soooo amazing & found room/time to get the California Girl in the water with everyone else! It was the most amazing feeling to surf 🏄 along side this community that I also get to teach back home- I felt seen, loved & soooo blessed 🥹 to experience this beautiful community in Hawaii! I will never forget this day & guess what @wavesforalll @stokeforlifefoundation @adaptivesurfingprofessionals @theshineprojectfoundation I’m signing up in Cali with no questions asked! I am so excited to get better on every wave 🌊 I experience & of course I have the best coach ever, my Bebe @georgecartermusic

Yep, just like the campfire treat—part sweet, part toasted, & always down for an adventure. 🍫

But instead of hanging out by the fire, you can usually find me hanging ten! I’m a wave-riding pup who loves nothing more than paddling out to the lineup and catching swells on my favorite blue longboard @hawaiianboardcompany_ 🏄‍♀️

It took a minute, but WE DID IT! I surfed and stood up for the 1st time in my life with my boo in Oahu!!! MS doesn’t have anything on me LOL! I was fweakin’ out & having soooo much fun as you can see on my face! @surfpixs you captured this memory sooo perfectly for us- thanks sooo much!

We also were visited by a huge turtle that came up to say hi to us for about 10 seconds out there & then he went back under! I wish we could have captured him out there too, but will be forever in our memories! It felt soooo surreal & just playing around in God’s massive ocean was the BEST DAY EVER…
