Tip of the week

Get a chassis, its worth it

Chassis systems do 2 things, free float your barrel and increase accuracy, but the most important part is, it accurizes you.

The more naturally you are able to shoulder a rifle, the less effort you require to input into the rifle to make the shot. You shouldnt have to wrestle with your rifle to make it have the correct eye relief and length of pull.

While some other chassis are very ADJUSTABLE, they are not MODULAR. I have gone back to a buffer tube stock because I can make it exactly how I want it with thousands of aftermarket options. There are also numerous buffertube PRS style stock options out there, and I went with a minimalist design. I never adjust my length of pull or cheek riser while on the clock, so why make it more complicated then I need, and reduce the weight.

I am personally using a @tansonprecision Talon chassis, which comes with an internal weight system, has mlok to support more weights if needed (I dont, this balances perfectly), and it comes with the NV bridge. Pair that with it being about half the price of the competitors, makes the choice pretty easy.

What a killer weekend competing at @kinetic.comps Marathon Mountain Team Sniper Match at @dmrresort

This match roster was stacked with some of the best sniper teams on the block. The competition was a solid balance of marksmanship, fitness, communication, and problem-solving.

Engagements consisted of long gun and pistol targets ranging from danger close to 1,500m, with many engagements stretching from one mountain to another in challenging winds, all while navigating miles through the mountains between stages under heavy load.

Huge shoutout to the match directors and ROs for putting together a fast-paced, challenging, and efficient match.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to represent @tracertactical alongside another Raider Sniper. There’s something special about getting out there years later and still holding it down alongside other operators and seriously talented shooters.

Excited to keep testing myself, learning from talented competitors, and sharpening my skills with every match.

Looking forward to the next one.
