Just a month after releasing a sneak diss aimed at Flex and Ziad Zaza, where he bragged about taking the rap beef into his own hands and onto the streets, HUSAYN returns with ‘Sonseyat II’, the follow-up to ‘Sonseyat I’, which first dropped three years ago. Inspired by his nickname “Sons,” the self-titled mixtape sees HUSAYN reflecting on his life and experiences in an unfiltered manner free of contradictions. The six-track project features appearances from Abo El Anwar and Ahmed Santa of the El-Mexic collective. The mixtape opens with 10 Seneen, where HUSAYN reflects on his 10-year anniversary in the industry, the people he’s encountered along the way, and how the rap game has evolved. While Sonseyat II largely taps into HUSAYN’s drill sound, it also introduces new textures, including trap influences on Alb El Asad, which is accompanied by a music video directed by MTM’s Khalid Ibrahim. The nearly 14-minute project closes with a slower, old-school rap flow built around classic ego and flex rap patterns delivered with aggressive energy. One standout bar goes: اعرف ناس بيصلوا الجمعة بس عشان يدعوا عليا واعرف ناس بيصلوا كل فرض بيدعوا نبقي زيك I know people who pray Friday prayers just to pray against me And I know people who pray every prayer asking to be like me. While the rhyme scheme here is largely monorhymed and intentionally repetitive, making it catchy but at times slightly rough-edged, the track later switches into a looser structure, breaking the hypnotic rhythm established in the intro. 📸 @dany_victor_ 🎥 @khalidibrahimx
