#NoirOnlineOrg | Staff Tamara J. @SheIsTamaraJ 👩🏿‍💻: While speaking at this year’s #SurroundedByStories film showcase, actor #DevaleEllis and film producer #CourtneyGlaude were asked about the growing conversation around shooting films and television projects in a matter of days versus the traditional weeks or months-long production process!

Both used #TylerPerry’s fast paced approach as an example, with Ellis breaking down the financial realities Black creatives often face in Hollywood. He explained that while TP can receive hundreds of thousands of dollars per episode from studios, white creators and productions receive millions, creating a completely different equation for budgets, production schedules, and how much time can realistically be spent on a project.

Glaude offered his own perspective on TP’s process, jokingly expressing that “something is wrong with Tyler” who also has essentially built his own ecosystem.
