Autumn events so far✨

September was certainly a busy one for the Peridot team, with an events calendar that took us across London and beyond. From industry talks and panel discussions to launches, celebrations and plenty of opportunities to catch up with familiar faces and make new connections, it was a brilliant month of conversation, inspiration and bringing people together.

Just a few of the highlights from the month…

The sofa session was expertly moderated by @georginablaskey

Team Peridot worked collaboratively with @taylorhowesdesigns to help orchestrate and celebrate 10 years of the interior design studio’s Women in Business network. Hosted with venue partners @thesloaneclub, with expert panel moderated by @annemashworth and champagne from @champagne_bollinger

As part of the launch of TR Studio’s new ‘Wellness by Design compendium’, Peridot worked with contemporary @luxebbpr to host an informal ‘sofa session’ between @tomruttstudio and @nordictrack

Grace from team attended the Women in Property panel event at The Bryanston. An informative and fun evening of networking above the london skyline with @theluxurypropertyforum @caroline.donaghue @thechelseaembodimentcoach and others friends from the sector.

@the.sbid Industry Day hosted at @cumberlandhotellondon with @olisemagazine. Peridot’s founder @pennysainsbury joined contemporaries on stage to talk all things PR and media in an ever evolving landscape

Expertly moderated by @bilenzeremariam, Penny joined Rawlins George PR and photographer Renato O’Leary to discuss ‘how to get your work seen and published’.

Elevenses, from the archives.

Once you spot it, you’ll see it everywhere: coffee in almost every interior shot. A single cup on a bench, two on a tray, a whole coffee station built into the cabinetry and even cake!

A tiny styling detail with the biggest job. You get an idea of the scale, your eye lands somewhere. There’s a person in the room without ever showing one. Someone was just here, and stepped away before the frame was shot.

A little confession: I don’t actually drink coffee. No caffeine needed on this side of the camera.

What happens when you’ve not been so active on social media …

…. you miss loads of things.

Namely, celebrations for your clients.

Susan Chesney’s Laax project made another appearance in Homes & Gardens under the NiD25 – Next in Design 2025 back in April.

Thrilled to celebrate Susan Chesney Interiors who was named one of 25 visionary British designers.

Susan’s thoughtful, layered approach to interiors is being rightly recognised. Her belief in quiet luxury and meaningful design shines in every project.

Huge congratulations, Susan, this milestone deserves an ongoing celebration!

These shots from last week’s @livingetcofficial After Hours tour of WOW!house just about sum it all up - gleefulness, surprise, inspiration, excitement. For anyone who hasn’t been to WOW it’s a month-long exhibition that celebrates interior design, showing just what the country’s best creatives can do and leaving anyone who visits feeling like the world is a little bit more beautiful. Bravo to @clairegerman01 @beckymetcalfeloves @victoria_interiors_academy @rebeccagleesonpatel @jonathanrhysabbott and all at @designcentrech for pulling it off yet again. Don’t miss it, and go see while you have the chance!

We’re incredibly proud to share that The Business of Interiors has been awarded Best Professional Network for Interior Designers – UK 2026 by Luxuri Magazine 🖤

To say we’re grateful would be an understatement. This community began as a simple idea, built steadily, step by step with the intention of leaving the industry better than we found it.

Every single one of you has been part of that journey. Whether you’ve followed along, listened to the podcast, attended an event, or supported us in any way, thank you. It truly means everything.

And we’re only just getting started.

This year’s Community Summit is shaping up to be our most exciting yet, bringing together an incredible group of designers and industry leaders for a day of honest, valuable conversations.

We can’t wait to welcome you. Secure your seat at the link in our bio. Final few tickets remaining 🎟️

This week’s instalment of the Project of the Week series features a minimalist residential design by 2025 SBID Awards Finalist, @susanchesneyinteriors

This project involved the full interior design of a newly rebuilt 1967 ski chalet in Switzerland, grounded in a bold Brutalist foundation of concrete, blackened steel, and glass. The brief was to honour the clients’ love of raw, architectural structure while softening the interior to reflect both husband and wife’s tastes. Despite being a long-distance project, only two site visits were made over 22 months, minimising their carbon impact. The result is a striking yet liveable Alpine retreat—balancing strength with soul, and minimalism with warmth through considered materials and layered texture.

Another month, another new client we are delighted to announce, Susan Chesney Interiors.
@susanchesneyinteriors (SCI) was founded with a clear vision: to create beautiful, enduring interiors rooted in authenticity, craftsmanship, and genuine human connection. Their work is defined by quiet luxury; expressed through thoughtful, meticulous planning, intelligent functionality, considered composition, and a refined approach to materiality.

The founder’s career spans luxury fashion and international interior design, with professional experience across the United States, Tokyo, Paris, and the Swiss Alps, including leading a high-end furniture and interior design business in San Francisco. This culturally fluent perspective underpins SCI’s design philosophy, bringing a global sensibility to high-end private residential projects as well as boutique commercial environments.

Launched as a solo practice, SCI quickly gained recognition for its client-focused approach and exceptional service, earning multiple Global Client Service Awards and a place in the inaugural Homes & Gardens Next in Design 2025, recognising 25 visionary British designers shaping the future of interiors.
