If you would have asked me even a year ago to go on a run with you I would have laughed in your face. A year ago I would have said “I hate running, no way.” Now, I just finished my freshman year of high school track and field. A lot of days I hated it, but I feel like it was a really good use of my time and I’m so glad that I did it. Thanks to all of my team mates who helped me grow as a runner and a competitor. Thanks for sharing all the blood, the sweat, the tears, and the prayers. Thanks to my coaches for having the faith in me that I could succeed in my many events, I’m honored to be able to take home the Tom Carta award. I love you all and I can’t wait for next year!! #trackandfield
