Last week’s Shine course welcomed the return of @susanneklein3 , who shared the joy of using nature to create beautiful, mindful prints. She also opened up about her own raw and honest journey through motherhood, creating a safe space for heartfelt conversations. The mums were inspired to reflect and share their own stories, making it a truly special and connecting session. 🌿💛

We had the enlightening @susanneklein3 to teach us how to create our own prints using simple materials found in the home. A ways to recreate again and again something that has meaning or brought us joy

Other highlights in the winter issue of Printmaking Today include printmaker and physicist Susanne Klein’s research into Dürer’s likely etchant, a visit to the extraordinary collection at Fondazione Tito Balestra, in the small town of Longiano in Italy, an update on the incredible eye-tracking technology developed at Dundee Contemporary Art Print Studio and a new technique developed by Shi Ziyuan. Shi’s work is created from a rubbing of a gypsum base block and uses several traditional techniques including shuiyin, tayin (more commonly known by the later Japanese technique takuhon) and gonghua.
