#14 Artwork Spotlight Susan Smith - Imaginary Friends Susan’s “Imaginary Friends” is a playful, joyful expression of nostalgia, a layering of textures and colours evoking memories real or imagined. As always with Susan’s work, you can see in this piece her fascination and understanding of paint as she uses it in different ways to create different passages of texture and mark to delight the viewer. Her layers build up to reveal, hide and repeat conveying a sense of play, naivety and closeness; you imagine much like with friendship, more can be discovered with each interaction. #artworkoftheday #mixedmediaart #contemporarylandscape #onlineartgallery
