Forever grateful to Chef @mjuarez.24 for spotting something in my work and deciding his restaurant needed more of it. ❤️
If you're in Houston, stop by for incredible sushi and a little art on the side!

Also big thanks to @jrichardson80 for helping me hang everything, AND stepping outside her comfort zone for omakase! 🤘

Girls' night but make it omakase 🍣✨
Finally tried that hidden sushi spot in Houston and... 12/10. It’s literally hidden behind an art gallery, with only 10 seats, and the chef serves you course by course.
That green tea shot? NOT green tea 😭 and don’t get me started on the “ice cream”

Love being able to try so many dishes and only $25 for the Houston Restaurant Week set lunch! Even though we ordered extra nigiri a la carte I must admit I didn't leave feeling full. And this was after spending $200 for the two of us! Buuuuuut everything was so delicious, I'm keen to come back to try their full omakase menu!

Sip and Skewer is doing a special collab this month with Chef Ryan! The menu is 7 courses for $75 per person. Riel used to be one of my favorite restaurants before it closed, so it’s no surprise why I loved this menu so much.

They start you off with a miso soup that’s been simmered for 24hrs and finish with ice cream with grilled pineapple topped with Hot Sake.

This menu ends Sept 30th!

Anniversary dates don’t have to be just dinner and drinks! We had so much fun and it’s one of the best dates we’ve had!

💍 bracelets at Nina Berenato- 14k gold permanent jewelry
🎨 rug tufting at TuTugether- tutorial and practice before you start your project
🍢 dinner at Sip and Skewer - a very intimate 4 seat counter inside sushi by hidden.

Save this for your next anniversary or date night in Houston!

is it an art gallery? a sushi bar?? the best birthday lunch omakase experience at @sushiby_hidden. With only 10 seats this is an intimate, quaint lunch watching the sushi chefs do their thing. the oyster topped with shaved chilled watermelon and Thai chili was a satisfying shock to the taste buds. Also, the truffle topped nigiri was a nice end of the meal. hint (don’t ask for soy sauce or sriracha 😆) also great recommendation by our server Michelle for the Dragon God sake, perfect way to bring in 35 :) #houstonfood #houstonfoodies #alexiseatstexas #sushi #omakase
