When every dish is a 10/10! ✨ @sushiroku does contemporary sushi at its finest! My absolute favorite dish is their Toro Carpaccio. 🐟 It’s topped with caviar, kizami wasabi, and truffle soy. So decadent! You also have to try their Hanabi Crispy Rice with Wagyu! 🥩 The sushi selection is so good. Highly recommend getting their Chef’s Choice Plate or one of their unique Signature rolls. 🍣 Their Chilean Seabass with truffle miso also blew my mind. So flakey and tender! Other faves include their Ribeye Wrapped Asparagus 🔥, Miso Eggplant 🍆, and Popcorn Shrimp Tempura 🍤!

So many great options! Which dish are you most excited to try?

☀️ It’s officially patio season, and @sushirokumb has one of the best patios in the South Bay! Their Manhattan Beach location is featured side-by-side with @boasteakhouse @boasteak_mb and conveniently located close to LAX!

🎉 NEW menu additions include American Wagyu Chimichurri, A5 Wagyu Carpaccio, and the Yakumi Roll!

🍹 Check out their recently revamped their cocktail menu with fresh new cocktails and fresh juices for the season!

🥑 Sushi Roku has officially removed all seed oils from their menu! They have transitioned to a mix of avocado oil, pomace olive oil, and beef tallow in all salad dressings, sauces, and cooking methods!

Every seven years, our baby girl’s birthday falls on Mother’s Day, which makes the day feel even more special in our house. Hubby and the boys spend the day celebrating us girls, and I have to say… they do a pretty great job of it.

This year, we celebrated with a huge family brunch at Sushi Roku — the first time we’ve ever taken the kids there, despite the fact that I’ve been going for nearly 20 years. The kids immediately understood why it has stayed one of my favorite restaurants for so long.

The entire experience was exceptional from start to finish. The general manager and every staff member was warm, attentive, welcoming, and wonderful with the kids. By the end of brunch, the boys had already declared Sushi Roku our new family favorite.

And the food was even more incredible than I remembered. Sushi Roku recently removed all seed oils from the menu, replacing them with avocado oil, pomace olive oil, and beef tallow throughout their cooking methods, sauces, and dressings, which made me appreciate the restaurant even more. Their cocktail menu was also recently revamped with fresh seasonal cocktails and juices that paired perfectly with brunch. Don’t sleep on the mocktail menu either because they were absolutely divine.

Sushi Roku Pasadena is celebrating 26 years and also gave the restaurant a beautiful remodel last year. The space already had that classic Sushi Roku feel I’ve loved for nearly two decades, but the refresh made it feel even more polished, modern, and inviting while still keeping the warm atmosphere that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile with family and friends.

We ordered far too much food, shared plates across the table, celebrated Mother’s Day, celebrated our girl, and stayed long enough for the kids to start asking what dessert we were ordering next.

Safe to say, our family has a new favorite restaurant.

Sushi Roku also has locations in Santa Monica, Newport Beach, Manhattan Beach, Palo Alto, Austin, and Las Vegas.

@sushiroku has actually been around since 1997, and it’s known for helping shape the more modern, upscale sushi scene in California. Traditional sushi, but with a more contemporary twist, which definitely comes through in the menu and the whole experience.

The Newport Beach location is right at Fashion Island, and it really fits the setting 🍣🥂
