Jasminum sambac = Mogra / Motia / Arabian Jasmine 🌿🤍 — one of the best jasmine species for a pot in North Indian conditions.

🌱 Quick care guide

RequirementWhat to do☀️ Sunlight4–6+ hours direct sun for good flowering. (Urvann)💧 WaterWater thoroughly when the top 1–2 inches of soil become dry. Don't keep it permanently soggy. (Urvann)🪴 SoilFertile but very well-draining soil.🌸 FertilizerRegular organic feeding during active growth; avoid excessive nitrogen if your goal is flowers rather than leaves.✂️ PruningPrune after a flowering flush to encourage branching and new flowering shoots. (Prosea)🌿 PotA roughly 12–16 inch pot works well for a mature potted plant, with plenty of drainage holes.🐛 ProblemsMealybugs, mites and bud pests can occur; inspect the undersides of leaves and developing buds. (Agritech TNAU)

🌸 If your goal is maximum flowers

For terrace or balcony, I'd prioritize:

Morning sun → well-draining soil → consistent watering → regular pinching/pruning → moderate feeding.

One particularly important point with Mogra: don't move the pot around once it has lots of buds and don't let it swing between bone-dry and waterlogged, because inconsistent conditions can contribute to bud drop. (Urban Sprout)
