There is no greater compliment than having women return to Build Your Brave year after year. But when they start bringing their friends along because they want them to experience what they did? That means EVERYTHING to me.

When I started Build Your Brave, I wanted to create a space where women could show up exactly as they are. A place to feel seen, heard, supported and reminded that they’re not alone in whatever life is throwing at them.

And watching the friendships form, the connections deepen and women return with their sisters, girlfriends, moms and daughters is something I will never take for granted.

Because when a woman leaves my retreat and thinks, “I wish every woman in my life could experience this,” I know we’re creating something pretty special.

To every woman who has attended, returned, shared her experience or encouraged someone else to take that brave step, THANK YOU.

You are helping me build something so much bigger than a weekend retreat. And I’m so grateful.

Have you ever attended something so special that you couldn’t wait to share it with someone you love?

Come experience Build Your Brave for yourself in 2027!

Come on your own. Come with a friend. Either way, you won’t be doing the weekend alone.

And this year you have options. Pay in full OR choose 4 payments with Afterpay at checkout.

Early Early Bird pricing ends October 15, and then the price goes up.

What if Build Your Brave didn’t have to end when the retreat weekend did?

That’s really why I created the Build Your Brave Collective online Membership. 🩷

Because as much as I LOVE our retreats, the magic isn’t just in the workshops, the speakers or the weekend away. It’s in the conversations. The women you meet. The moments where someone says something and you think, “Wait… me too.” It’s having a space where you can show up exactly as you are and feel seen, supported and connected.

And I wanted us to have that all year long.

The Collective is our online community for women who want more of THAT. And no, you don’t have to have attended a retreat to join us.

Inside we have monthly guest speakers on Zoom, replays you can watch anytime, our book club, weekly journal prompts, challenges, accountability, conversations and a whole lot of real life mixed in.

Some weeks we’re going deeper. Some weeks we’re working on something we’ve been avoiding. Some weeks we’re talking about books, checking in on a challenge or simply having conversations we might not have anywhere else. And sometimes we just need a place to say, “Okay, is anyone else feeling this too?”

It’s not about fixing yourself or becoming some shiny new version of you.

It’s about having a space that reminds you to keep choosing yourself, trying the thing, having the conversation, trusting yourself a little more and doing life alongside women who are doing the same in their own way.

So if you’ve watched our retreats from the sidelines and wished you could be part of this community, you can.

You don’t have to wait for the next retreat.

Come hang out with us in the Build Your Brave Collective. I think you’re going to love it in there.

Comment Collective and I can send you more details. You belong here. 🩷

Definitely one of my favourite moments from the retreat 💕🎨

This might have been one of my favourite ways we’ve ever started a retreat.

We paired everyone up, handed them paint and a canvas, and told them they were painting each other’s portraits. Most of these women had only just met, and suddenly they were sitting across from a stranger, staring at their face, asking questions, sharing stories and laughing SO hard at their artistic abilities. 😂

And somewhere in all of that, the guards started coming down. Strangers stopped feeling like strangers. There was no pressure to make small talk or figure out where you fit. You were just sitting across from another woman, getting to know her while attempting to paint her face and hoping she’d forgive you for whatever was happening on that canvas.

At the end, we turned the paintings over and wrote down the things we had noticed and loved about the person we’d just spent that time with. And that part was beautiful. Because in such a short amount of time, they had already really seen something in each other.

This is what I mean when I talk about genuine connection at Build Your Brave. Sometimes it starts with a deep conversation. And apparently sometimes it starts with a questionable portrait and a whole lot of laughing.

It really was the perfect way to begin our weekend. 🩷

I almost said no to something that every cell in my body wanted to say yes to.

I felt called to go to this retreat. And I had been given two beautiful gifts that made it possible for me to be there....

Yet I was still hesitating.

I waited until only days before the retreat to finally say yes because…in my mind…

I had too much going on…

I didn’t feel I deserved to step away from it...

It was actually challenging to accept support like this...

And then @susie.helland lovingly nudged me.

She helped me see that I wasn’t unsure about whether I wanted to go…I knew I wanted to be there! Yet…I was getting in my own way of saying yes.

Im human, we’re all human and a coach still needs a coach. 💕

Ironically, I coach women to listen to what they need, stop putting themselves last and allow themselves to be supported - and sometimes I still need someone to help me do exactly the same thing.

With the support of my parents and a loving nudge from Susie, I said yes.

And it was one of the most beautiful gifts I could have given myself.

I came home feeling calmer, lighter, inspired and excited. I even woke up Sunday morning thinking about the Midlife Awakening retreat the women in the room have been asking me to create 💕🙏

Sometimes we know exactly what we need. The hardest part is believing we’re worthy of receiving it.

You can be strong and capable and still need support getting out of your own way.

Thank you, Susie, for creating such a beautiful space and for helping me receive the very thing I needed most right now 💕🙏

Is there something you already know you want or need…but you’re still hesitating to say yes to? 💕✨

We are SO excited to announce that Candace Chisolm is joining us at the Build Your Brave Wellness Retreat this weekend at @thebalcomo

And wait until you experience what she’s bringing.

@candacetoken is a second generation Specialized Kinesiologist and muscle testing practitioner with more than 30 years of experience. She’s also the founder of Token Protocol and author of Healing in Order.

Candace has spent decades helping people better understand the signals and patterns within their bodies, and at the retreat, she’s going to teach us about muscle testing and then let us experience it for ourselves.

If you’ve never tried muscle testing before, this is going to be SUCH a cool workshop. You don’t need to understand it or even know what you think about it. Come curious. Try it. Ask questions. See what you notice.

Her work comes back to a pretty powerful idea: what if we learned to listen to our bodies a little more closely instead of always looking outside ourselves for the answers?

I cannot wait for the women joining us this weekend to experience Candace and this workshop!

The seasons they are a-changin’

Fall is bringing more opportunities to join me on the mat, in rest and on retreat.

• In a week the doors will open for the Autumn Release. A 6 week yoga and meditation series about our nervous system and our fascia and all the magic in between. This is both a continuation of the Connected Body series we explored in the spring and an invitation to begin anew. Happening Tuesday evenings @flowcoyoga 🍂✨

• This upcoming weekend I have the honour of joining @susie.helland and @buildyourbraveretreats for a 75minute fascia focused yoga class as part of their retreat at @thebalcomo. This will be a beautiful weekend led by some incredibly empowering women and from what I hear there are a few spots left 👀💓

• And in addition to all this good stuff, my weekly yoga schedule has grown, I’ll now be offering 4 classes each week in my favourite place @flowcoyoga, ranging from gentle yin to fiery vinyasa. 🧘🏻📿

See last slide for full weekly schedule ➡️

Today’s spotlight is on my friend, an incredible, talented and passionate photographer based in West Kelowna, Stephanie @stephanie.lucile.photography! 📸

I met Steph through @susie.helland’s first Build Your Brave Retreat and we clicked immediately. Since 2018, Steph has been capturing weddings, family sessions, branding photos, and more across Kelowna and the Okanagan. ☀️

She is known for her natural light style and capturing the laughs, the messy moments and everything in between that makes every session feel relaxed, fun and completely genuine. I always love working with her and I already can’t wait for our next project together. 💕

If you’re in the Okanagan area, I highly recommend booking a session with her, you won’t regret it. Give her a follow, check out her portfolio and drop some love for her in the comments. 📸
