States is done and dusted, and with that, the 2026 season has come to an end. It was a great year as a team, growing together and learning how to race with each other to achieve team and individual results. We had a lot of fun too :)

This was my fifth and final year with @spectraracing . I co-founded it to try to support more women in cycling and racing and to give them a chance to belong on a team even if they didn’t have race results or weren’t at a certain category level. We knew we could help them grow and develop and we did that through group rides, clinics, and mentoring. It wouldn’t have been possible without our sponsors so thank you to everyone who has supported Spectra along the way.

As I get a little older and search for work/life/training balance along with managing multiple health conditions, I decided to step away from leading a team and put my time/energy into racing on a domestic elite team next year. More to come on that later, but for now, a thank you to the sponsors, my teammates, and everyone who came out for a ride, clinic, or event with us 🫶

Wrapping up the road season, Sarah, Krista, Ruth and Susie raced the Oatmeal Classic / Texas State Championship Road Race! Sarah came home with second overall and cat 1 runner-up, Susie took the cat 2 jersey, and Ruth was runner-up among cat 3s!

Sarah took the field in a commanding attack 10 miles in, establishing the race-winning breakaway early on that accumulated eight minutes on the field. Her sprint for second was an incredible result against some of the fastest riders in the state (&country!). Krista, Ruth, and Susie all covered moves in the field and finished first and second in the field sprint. We are so proud of the team and Sarah’s second place showing at States! Thanks to @drivewayseries and @campoflamps for putting on a great event.

Thank you to our wonderful sponsors for supporting us this season!

This year, I wanted “it” more than I ever have in my life.

But no matter how badly you want something, you need a network of support to make it a reality.

Thank you to all the people who believe in me & my aspirations, who enable me to pursue pro cycling as a mother.

See you in 2027

Last couple weeks were filled with some sad loss in the world. I hold onto these glimmers and am grateful for my life full of my favorite things ✨️

As a wise man once said "living the dream"

Key takeaways:
• Sushi watts
• Jen's leg tho
• Look ahead
• Ricky Ticky (sorry about your back Caleb)
• Deep dish pizza lives up to the hype
• Kids all said they want a flip phone when they grow up, cool aunt level achieved
• Being friends with Will means you can win a bike race, not him tho (sorry about your arm)
• Ladies, Ladies
• The rest speaks for itself.

A little late but better than never… @onecyclingseries was an absolute blast and was one of my favorite race events this year! Everything was well-run, the courses were fun and different, and the spectators were the nicest I’ve ever encountered, including an entire restaurant that clapped for our team after the race 🥹

This series was special because every single one of the 7 of us played a role and did a job (and all 7 got prime $ or in the money on day 1 🎉). My job was to cover breakaways and be in the lead out for our sprinter, which I am always happy to do (who needs the stress of winning for the team when you can just relax after your job is done 😆). Kidding but in all seriousness, I love playing that role and chasing moves down and finding our sprinter at the end for the lead out. It worked great on day 1 with @katy.mcdicken taking the W!

Day 2 was hot and hilly and most of us spent time off the front alternating attacks (including a monster solo break by @youknowsimone ) but ultimately @katy.mcdicken got off the front with two others and that was the break that stuck, with Katy coming in 2nd and me in 5th that day. Simone and Susie swept up some primes in their breakaways and we were able to come away with 2nd (Katy) and 5th (me) in the omnium 🎉

This team is so fun to race with and I’m so thankful to have been their “permanent guest rider” this year 🤗

The racers were flying this weekend at the @jacobs_well_classic!

The tough competition paired with a challenge course led some exciting racing and close finishes, but the strongest riders of the day @susie.mar and @evan_bausbacher took on the hills and claimed their wins solo.
