In this transient world we live in that is driven by an insatiable appetite for new and more of new , the work we create can feel like a disposable commodity, once you as a creator and marker of things artistic are finished a project you feel the need to move on to make the new and the more , a trap . Today my friend @spoekmathambo sent me the poster to our film @mutantdocumentary a labor of love that took us over half a decade to complete , and looking at how it continues to soar high in the film festival skies the world over is a beautiful reminder that , if you as a creator create something beautiful and meaningful to you and others , it’s ok to enjoy it and celebrate it beyond the narrow confines of the modern constructs of the lifespan of artistic endeavors and the speed at which we consume stuff . May we continue to make stuff that’s beautiful and enjoy it for as long as possible .
