I might just have the best mother-in-law there is …. @susieemp planned a day-before-Easter brunch and wine tasting at @wolfferwine followed by an epic Easter egg hunt with more eggs than the kids even wanted to pick up all stuffed with cute little finger puppets and tattoos AND she’s going to be spoiling Gemma (and Bleecker) rotten all week long while Nick and I are in Africa.

🌈Each year when you celebrate your rainbow baby’s birthday, it’s a reflection point like no other that reminds you of every moment that brought your sweet child - and YOU - here.

🎂Happy Birthday to our Encanto-loving 3-year-old princess who loves anything glittery (especjally sparkly eyeshadow - last slide), getting her nails done, reading her books, playing with her brother and screaming at the top of her lungs at least 6xs a day at a pitch high enough to trigger the glass break on our alarm system. She loves talking about our day before bed at night, singing “mama loves you” (a song I made up when she was a newborn) and hurling her body every which way at gymnastics like she’s going for the gold. Her endless smiles, love of life and happiness are contagious, and even though she is definitely developing an attitude (the way she says “fiiiiineeee” when she finally concedes about something scares me for the teenage years) she knows how to blink her eyes in a way that makes sure she gets her way every single time (at least when it comes to daddy).

Three years with this dream come true and not a day goes by that I CANNOT BELIEVE she is here. Before she was born everyone asked me in the final weeks what things are you going to do before life as you know it ends and baby is here?

My response: when she is born … actually born … and I hear her cry and walk through my front door of my house with her in my arms … that’s when my life begins.

I hoped and prayed for her for years, cried a million tears, resigned myself to the fact that another baby was never coming and yet here she is all wrapped up like a big beautiful present with a big lavender bow. And 3 years later I still cannot believe it, and I still pray for each and every woman who’s still in it that their rainbow comes. 🌈🌈🌈

Happy birthday to our Gemma … I won the life lottery being her and Nick’s (and Bleecker’s) Mom. Full of gratitude and just thankful, thankful and beyond thankful for where we are now.

Closed out January with the perfect event at my dear friend, Julie’s house …. You all know her from my podcast and her new initiative - The Gifted Life.

Together @iamjulievincent and Carly Ridloff of @the.exchangeproject hosted an incredible day - delicious juices from @barvidajuicebar , homemade chia seed pudding and energy bites , a thought-provoking convo about purpose moderated by the amazing @themichellegarside (who I finally got to meet in person) and shopping pre-loved pieces after.

As much as I do love being on the mic … I realized in this afternoon that I also need to be a guest at events…an observer…not “on” so I can clear space for my own personal and professional growth outside of my home and role as mom - with amazing people and energies in the room - @thatpennylife_ @zac.mathias and the other wonderful women I met that day.

Pulled the craziest card from Julie’s deck - the Chamber of Transformation card - and it def stuck with me bc I have been transforming for a few years now and am certainly nowhere near done!

Dinner out for my husband’s bday with his family who I’m so grateful to also call my family, cheering on my amazing son at his state champs swim meet in Cheshire CT, taking my cutie daughter to a little friend’s bday party at @thecubhousegreenwich and then carving out time amidst momming to spend a pleasantly cold night in New York City with friends who are family at a restaurant that means so much to me (Barbounia was the first date spot for the hubs and I back in 2010!) were all such joyful ways to close out one month and usher in another.

With Season 2 of That Greenwich Life officially wrapped … it feels so good to be a little more present, a little less stressed and have a tiny bit more time for gratitude.

🩷That Greenwich Life means you go from full hair and make-up on the step and repeat and the big stage of the big event last week to driving a rented minivan around Detroit - and love every second of it.

🇺🇸We honored Nick and Gemma’s great GREAT uncle Carmen Milia - who is 97 and in the best physical and mental shape ever! - at the Lions/Giants game for his decorated service to our country.

🪖He was the “Hometown Hero” of the game - and our hero for being such an important part of our family.

🦁Ford Field was amazing and the fans around us were so appreciative (even though hubs is a Giants fan).

🏒 Nick, dad and the cousins even caught a RedWings game (which I guess is a big deal? I don’t know much about hockey) and Nick had ANOTHER amazing 10th birthday celebration with the whole extended family

🚙 Motor City - thanks for the awesome memories!
