I firmly believe in the saying “right place, right time”, where a series of small, seemingly meaningless choices land you in a spot where you discover something truly extraordinary, both about yourself and your place in the world.

When I was tasked with interviewing this so called “nutty artist” in nowhere, Montana, about her health struggles for an EMS documentary, I didn’t quite grasp the crazed brilliance that I would come in contact with. Susie Wolf blew me away immediately with her spark, and real wisdom about how she keeps that enthusiasm for life so many lose as they grow older. After that quick interview, I knew right away that I had to spend more time with her. I had to know not only her story, but her genuine nature as an artist.

Being able to spend a day with Susie earlier this year, and breaking down her life and her perception of our world over some artwork has became one of the best —if not the best— film I have ever created. And for this, I thought it deserved more than just an instagram story post.

So many incredible stories go untold because people weren’t in the right place at the right time, and to be able to share Susie’s is such a gift.

I present to you:

Portrait of an Artist - The Abstract of Susie Wolf

Watch it on my website in my bio.

And after, please support Susie Wolf and her art journey here: @susierossowolf

Thanx!
