What a day at Sustainability in Drinks 2026 @sustainabilityindrinks 🌱

I joined a brilliant panel on inclusion in our industry and what the new B Corp JEDI standards mean for 2027.

At DWWA @decanterawards @decanter we judge wine blind, on merit, and I have spent the last few years trying to bring that same fairness to people. This year we had 106 women judges, the most in our history. That didn’t happen by accident. It took years of looking hard at who we invite, and making sure people feel safe & welcome once they’re in the room.

My one takeaway: write down what good looks like, then count. What gets measured gets changed.

Thank you @larasills @drinks_united for hosting, and @erinkaywilliams and Rosie Davenport for such an honest chat. Loved every minute 🙌

Get on the Eurostar, jump on a plane — @sustainabilityindrinks is well worth the trip to London.

It’s an event that gives you a great big wallop of inspiration, diving into sustainability in wine, but also looking beyond it at what we can learn from other industries.

A great example was the turbocharged keynote from @georgemlamb of @wildfarmed, a super inspiring company with a story that spans both sides of the Channel. Too often wine can be an insular subject, so it was great to see it firmly embedded in a wider sustainability debate.

Bravo @anneejones and all the team at @regenerativeviticulture for a truly curated programme that clearly paid off. Great to see so many lovely familiar faces from the UK wine trade and people making the trip from France.

And thank you for the stay @durrants_hotel — felt right at home among those puppies 🐶!

It’s official: wine buyers are backing regenerative wine. 🌱

Today at Sustainability in Drinks in London, RVF launched the Regenerative Accelerator Group, introduced by our Patron, Jancis Robinson MW OBE: international buyers working together to give growers the confidence that there’s a market for their wines when they transition to regenerative farming.

Our founding signatories:
Berry Bros. & Rudd • Erewhon • Levy UK & Ireland • Haggen • Systembolaget • The Wine Society • Total Wine & More • Waitrose

Together, they’ll support our goal of 10% of the world’s vineyards farmed regeneratively by 2035. Each business will:
- Build demand for wines from regeneratively farmed vineyards
- Agree on a clear target with RVF
- Report on progress every year

“Growers need to know there will be a market for their wines as they change the way they farm. Buyers have a key role to play in giving them that confidence and helping share the risks of change.” — Stephen Cronk, Co-Founder and Trustee, RVF

From November, we’ll work with buyers, growers and experts to agree what counts as a regenerative wine and how to measure progress, with targets put into practice from 2027.

Follow along as we put this exciting pledge into practice

A more sustainable drinks industry starts with rethinking every detail.

Great to be part of Sustainability in Drinks 2026 in London, connecting with industry leaders driving meaningful change.

At INO Armor®, we’re rethinking how wine and spirits are protected with natural silk cocoons that deliver lightweight, reusable and home-compostable protective packaging without compromising performance.

Because what’s protecting the bottle matters, too.

Thank you @sustainabilityindrinks for bringing these important conversations together!

🍇 10% of the world’s vineyards to be farmed regeneratively by 2035 … what will it take to turn that ambition into reality? 🥂

📣Today at 4.30pm, Jancis Robinson MW OBE will launch the conversation at Sustainability in Drinks 2026, as the wine trade explores the power of buyers to help accelerate regenerative viticulture.

The Regenerative Wine Buying Pledge puts an important question to the industry: can wine buyers use their purchasing power to help growers adopt more regenerative practices, restore soil health, support biodiversity and build more resilient vineyards? ♻️

Truly meaningful change takes more than good intentions … growers need support, buyers need credible ways to assess progress, and the whole supply chain has a role in making the transition commercially viable 💸

This is where sustainability moves beyond promises and towards practical action.
