SUSTO’s Justin Osborne is making his return tonight, so we’re looking back on his debut at Garcia’s last September. After the band played their final note he treated us to an unforgettable solo encore, which was a perfect teaser for his next visit to Chicago.

Justin will be taking the stage as a solo act again tonight, treating us to an evening of song and story along with Daniel Ray Hilsinger who will kick things off at 8pm.

Biblically accurate self portrait to announce some shows. Buy a ticket, take the ride!

I’ve been playing a lot of pedal steel on the road these days and will be continuing that trend at these Susto shows! I’ll also be sitting in at the legendary @eddiesattic this Sunday as well and it’ll be a hoot.

I don’t make the rules when it comes to signs from the universe, I just point them out when they arise….

That being said, take this little nudge, hit the link in the bio, and pick up tickets for yall and all your friends for The Sparkle City Roadshow at @chapmanculturalcenter on November 17th in Spartanburg, SC.

We got an amazing headliner in @sustoisreal along with our good friends @theabbeyelmoreband and @janeenscottmusic all thanks to the hard work of @ourtownfest. So make sure to come out so we can show Susto what Yes-Haw is all about and how much The Burg loves them.

🎸 SUSTO — SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25 @ 8PM 🎸

At Eddie’s next Sunday! Justin Osborne of SUSTO has a message for you 👆

Justin is bringing a special solo show to our listening room, stripping SUSTO’s songs back to their foundation: just his voice, his lyrics, and the stories behind them. Since founding SUSTO in 2013 while living in Havana, Cuba, he’s built a catalog that moves between Southern Gothic, folk, rock, country, and psychedelia, all held together by confessional, searching songwriting about love, loss, change, and the strange beauty of everyday life.

This is a rare chance to hear those songs up close, in a room built for exactly this kind of night.

Opening the night are South Florida’s The Wire Jays, bringing sharp musicianship and an adventurous take on modern bluegrass.

A message from Justin Osborne of @sustoisreal!

For more than a decade, Osborne has built a body of work rooted in vivid, deeply personal songwriting—songs that wrestle with love and loss, change and uncertainty, family, place, and the complicated process of trying to make sense of a life as you’re living it. Get the full experience at the Shalin Liu Performance Center on October 23.
