RECAP of our annual Baltimore community service free swap event. @jillrh02 and I ( @t.deesdiaries ) developed and organized an event last April to bring the community together through the donation and swapping of household items such as clothes, shoes, household appliances and more. This idea was created to benefit those who face scarcity in certain lifestyle areas as well as bring joy to those who indulge in thrift/second hand shopping.

On March 21st, we brought it back for our second year in a row! This time- bigger, better and with a focal cause; scarcity of feminine hygiene products in homeless/less fortunate communities. This year we were able to collect both physical and monetary donations to the @baltimorehungerproject , all while continuing the main goal of the swap.

We ended the event with-
🌸3 full boxes of menstrual products & monetary donations
🌸4.5 SUVs packed with donations to community based orgs
🌸4 organizations impacted
🌸Hundreds of items with new homes

I am so thankful that we were able to do this for a second year in a row, with an even greater outcome. Not only is it rewarding but it’s a beautiful sight to see people around the city to volunteer, donate and swap for a great cause!

Thank you to all those who helped make this come together. Friends, Family & Strangers.

Thank you to @lifeartstudios for the beautiful photos

Thank you to @suuuneater & Ace Hardware for donating and organizing the flower potting activity

Thank you to @bmorepies for collabing with us on the swag bag giveaway

Till next year…or season🤭

Annual Arising
24” x 32”
Acrylic and spray paint on canvas
Painted live @casualcampout and finished in the studio.
Original on display @savardbeerandboard
✨adoptable✨
Prints available on my website (link in bio)

This piece came from a quiet moment at Casual Campout last May. While I was setting up the gallery, a friend and fellow artist surprised me with a bouquet of little purple flowers, his way of thanking me for art-directing and creating a space where others could grow and share their work. The bouquet reminded me how creativity and community bloom together, how we lift each other up, and how growth often comes from the spaces we hold for one another. This painting grew out of that feeling.

This Saturday, my dear friends Theresa and Sue will be tabling on my behalf @32ndfm to do a final push in 2025 for Story Seeds: Growing Home at the Farmers Market. Launching the book back in October offered so many full circle moments, and affirmed how many lives this project has reached. My friend Theresa was at the first Story Seeds stand in October 2021 and has watched the project evolve from MFA field research to the published book. Sue, who first asked me “What do you plan to do with these stories?”, was the one who pushed me to see what else this project could be.

I’ve been reflecting a lot on what I’m celebrating this year with the holidays, and I’m coming to realize that for me it’s about taking the time to slow down and reconnect with loved ones. As you think about how you’ll honor and acknowledge the relationships in your life, please consider gifting a copy of Story Seeds. I personally sign every copy, and you can customize the message in the book. Plus, a combined 15% of all proceeds go to support the 32nd Street Farmers Market, @farmalliancebaltimore , and @blackyield , three nonprofits dedicated to promoting community power and sovereignty through participation in local food economies. It’s a gift that keeps on giving!

Finally, it’s officially winter market at the 32nd Street Farmers Market, and while there are fewer vendors than in the summer, the variety and consistency of the winter vendors is amazing. If you are local to Baltimore, please consider supporting them this holiday season as well. I’m sharing a few of my favorite winter market photos in this post, in solidarity with Theresa and Sue and all the vendors and community members who will brave the cold this Saturday! @suecitysue

With warmth and gratitude,

Megan

Words cannot express the love I have for our @ramblefestival community. 2025 was the best year yet. Onward and upward, may we take the beautiful community connections, playfulness and joy out into the world so we can create the reality we all truly want to live in.

Big love to our team, our volunteers, artists, attendees- you know who you are- and everyone that makes this incredible experience thrive. My heart is more full than it’s ever been. It takes a village, and we have truly created a special, magical event.

More to come, here’s a drop of much of our art teams deco, our live painters, gallery, stage design, the new ramble totter installation and @siochainstudios art installations.

If you want to get involved with the art team for next year, stay tuned for announcements on when volunteer and artist applications open. 💜

🚨Crew Highlight 🚨
We seriously cannot give enough thanks to everyone who came together to make this year’s Pie Fry come to life. The entire Graham family, P4P and Aether teams, members of the jam family, and countless Nieces, Nephews, & Niblings worked behind the scenes for months to make the weekend turn from an idea to a dream come true. We really don’t know what we would do without our team, so thank you!
