We absolutely love the Simple Stripe Sweater by @suviknits It knits up beautifully in our Merino Linen, and we chose a gorgeous combination of Cacao, Champagne, Saffron, Girls Night and Faded Rose.

Ever wondered about our scientific colour selection process? This reel is for you! Although, when you’ve worked with colour as extensively as Bridget has, what looks like a carefully calculated process is often more intuitive than you might think. Watch to the end to spot the difference!

The Simple Stripe Sweater is a lovely mid-season project, and our sample knitter @wooly_waves summed up the knitting experience perfectly:
“It was a very enjoyable process to knit. The techniques involved were simple, but the stripe sequence kept it engaging, always wanting to get to the next colour.”

We couldn’t agree more. Sometimes, it’s the simplest stripes and the unexpected colour combinations that make a project so special.

Sabrina Scarf
A slender scarf with elegant eyelet cables worked while increasing and decreasing from point to point. I extended the length by working straight without increasing for several charts before beginning the decrease section.
The instructions include both written and charted directions, which is welcomed.

Design by @suviknits
Yarn is Purl Soho Line Weight in Moody Green (discontinued and from my yarn stash)

my most recent knit! this sweater is so special to me! for my birthday, my partner and i picked out the softest yarn i’ve ever felt during our first trip to flock fest! this is sylvan dk by @camelliafibercompany , made up of 70% alpaca, 20% silk, and 10% cashmere. oh my god it feels like a cloud! i knit this guy up in just a few weeks and i never ever ever want to take it off. the pattern was also so much fun to follow and i can’t recommend it enough! this is the iceflower sweater by @suviknits . the sweater worked up so quickly — the dopamine hits from finishing the lace repeats were so addicting. lace >> cables any day of the week.

#strikkemappe #syselv #jegfikserelv #ull #ullergull

Knitinthemitt... Where friendships are made and nurtured every Monday and Tuesday. Kim/ left and Laura/right both showed up in some HOTN art this week. This is the maiden voyage for Kim’s Sabrina Sweater by @suviknits and also Laura’s first for Isabell Kraemer’s Dingley Dell. Watching multiple students show up with new garb makes us all smile. Watching friendships grow along side knitwear is always a reward for me. Let’s leave some happy comments for these ladies!

💛 Project of the Week: Cloudy Day Sweater, by Suvi Simola, in Harrisville Designs’ Daylights. 💛 When you purchase yarn for the Project of the Week, Spun buys the pattern for you!
Cloudy Day Sweater is a boxy, drop-shoulder pullover with a gorgeous, textured geometric lace front and back. And in Daylights, wow! Daylights is a woolen spun Cormo wool blend that is bouncy and soft and a delight on the needles. Daylights is the natural wool color infused with bits of dyed wool which tint the natural base ever so slightly. Here, CarolSG chose the Over Easy colorway. 💛 It seems like a perfect match to this sweater design!

We’ve got kits set up in the web shop or come by the brick & mortar to select your colorway in person.
