The residency wouldn’t have been the same without our daily stop at our favourite local pub The Black Shop. Unwinding, loading up on inspiration, and meeting excellent wonderful folk. They poured the best Guinness in all the land, we never made it to the darts tournament, they make exquisite Irish coffee, and they kept this bunch of artists quite happy. Sláinte 🍻
So it’s only fitting I pay them hommage here, with a special thanks to the lovely Carmel and Brenda, are dearest hosts.

Adventures in Ireland fed me tons of inspiration. Here’s a story of the end for a white pair of boots, written on a tipsy challenge by the fire 🔥 from @jamesking_artist
We’ve since learned: if you’re stuck knee deep in the mud, don’t pull, you’ll only sink deeper (and your friends with it). Embrace the disaster and let yourself fall backward into the muck (there's a life lesson in there somewhere, but I ain't no life coach). Swipe to see the incident and the deceased boots.

A few of us headed right up the ring road to Staigue Stone Fort to see the structure believed to be from between 300-400AD. And while once used as a defensive stronghold, it now makes an excellent photo op!

ANOTHER amazing view of Derrynane guided by the author of “Wild Derrynane”, Vincent Hyland @wildderrynane . His wealth of knowledge about the wildlife and history of this area of Ireland truly makes the experience more personal and engaging. Thank you Vinny! You’re a true renaissance man!!! (Also be sure to catch him Thursday nights at the Blind Piper Pub.
