The start of a book. Hands and an open mic. Friends and new faces and threads and scribbles and empty chairs and thin lines. And no trees yet for some reason, but I've been noting some really beautiful trees.

Come Together this Sunday - April 20th!! I’m co-hosting this epic event at @kulakswoodshed ✌🏼It’s a fundraiser for this LA treasure we all love. The woodshed has been a place where musicians gather and make magic for decades and we gotta keep the good things in this world alive! The line-up includes some of the best talent in town. $20 suggested donation at the door. Doors open at 7pm and music starts at 8pm sharp! See you there. If you cannot make it and still want to donate - simply go to kulakswoodshed.com and follow the “donate” tab.

From our humble beginnings in 2006 where we spent 10 years of Thursdays at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf … then in 2017 when we spent 6 years at the Sugar Mill on Tuesdays … we’ve now hit ONE YEAR @durtynellys_oc #costamesa and we’re celebrating this Wednesday! SPREAD THE WORD! SPREAD THE LOVE! SPREAD THE SOAP! 17 years of Soapbox, can you believe it!? #openmic #spreadthesoap #orangecounty #music #poetry #comedy
