The first time I saw Virgo perform was in 2012 for our musical theatre class show case, Virgos rendition of At Last brought me to tears thinking this is the next Michael Jackson.
I have always known that Virgo was going to be BIG. Although her triangle hair didn’t win her the Next Star I knew that it was just the beginning for Virgos rich career.
From watching drag race Thursday night in her bedroom with Milo, having mini dance party battles, hearing about going into drag for the first time at drag con, I knew Virgo was going to be on drag race one day.
Having lived on the other side of the country for a few years I would proudly show off my best friend, the gorgeous drag queen to anyone that would listen.
Whenever I had the privilege of hanging out with Virgo I would just start crying because of the pride I had in her and her career.
I’ll try to keep the crying to a minimum going forward.
My sweet baby Jaden. You did it. You fcking did it.
I am so excited for you to share your talent with the world. This is just the beginning.

I’ve started a YouTube series called “verbatim”. You’ll have a chance to listen to me chitchat with special guest :)

Our first guest is Sam (they/them), who’s a queer Afro-Indigenous entrepreneur from Toronto. Growing up, they've always struggled with communicating how they felt. So, being the Gemini they are, it was destined to be *hair flip*, that they would always find ways to express themselves artistically. Whether that was drawing as a child, “accidentally” shaving their eyebrows off, or performing art pieces in high school. They would never steer away from an opportunity to express themselves. Later down the line discovering their gender/identity, it felt only natural to experiment with makeup and clothes as well.
