Ten years ago today, my first Rizzoli book, Interior Design Master Class, was released. Time flies!

Thank you to everyone who joined me on that project and on every book since. It has been a remarkable journey, and I'm now working on my 7th.

Legendary LA designer Madeline Stuart faced a unique challenge: how to make a living room with an eighteen-foot ceiling feel more intimate and human-scaled.

Her solution was an equally bold chandelier—six feet in diameter, suspended low on a long chain. By lowering the room’s visual center of gravity, it brings the soaring space down to earth.

I had the pleasure of seeing an advance, hand-bound copy of my latest book for Rizzoli New York yesterday morning, which is always incredibly rewarding!

And Susi Oberhelman—who has designed all my books—was there to see the fruits of her labor as well!

I have some EXCITING news to share: I’ve just signed the contract for a NEW Rizzoli book—my 6th—that will come out in the spring of 2027!

I’m pleased to share that my latest book for Rizzoli, New York, titled “Interior Design Master Class: 100 Rooms,” is now available for pre-order on every online platform. Three years in the making, the book celebrates 100 design firms and the very best of their work. It will be released on September 9th.

Each designer has chosen a subject to write a lesson on, everything from mixing patterns to choosing upholstered pieces to the essential considerations when designing a kitchen.
