Save the Date: MURDERED DARLINGS!!
September 26 at 7pm at Deep End Studios

This Fringe, we’re bringing an eclectic evening of songs, monologues, and scenes created by Paper Doll Ensemble from 2017 to present that never made it into our full-length shows. For one night only, these “Murdered Darlings” rise from the cutting room floor to take the stage for the first... and maybe last time.

So thankful to be creating this piece with the most supportive team ❤️ Making a show about chronic illness is cathartic, exhausting, exhilarating, terrifying, and therapeutic. I can't wait to share it with you all this Fringe. For now, enjoy this show art from @svqdesigns that perfectly captures all those feelings and more 🥰

Iris's I'M OKAY Tea Party! ☕
Coming September 2024

Step into the intimate world of Iris, a woman in a delicate dance with her chronic illness. The audience gathers for her annual ritual: a meticulously planned event where she invites friends, family, and acquaintances to her home to fulfill all social obligations at once and prove she is, in fact, still alive.

Will her organs cooperate long enough for her to host this year??

In 2024, Paper Doll Ensemble is launching ✨TWO✨ new projects - a one-woman show and a full length ensemble production! Grayce Carson is spearheading her very own one-woman show, coming this fall in Philly Fringe. She will be exploring her experience with chronic illness in this magically realistic adventure into the bowels of her existence (literally!) 💩

We are also starting workshops for our next full length ensemble production, delving into the concept of “girlhood” and how to reconnect with that part of ourselves as grown adults. We’re using 🐴 Hobby Horse 🐴 children’s toys as a launch point, and are thrilled to enter the abyss of improvisation, research, and devising.. Be on the lookout for dates for a Work-In-Progress showing later this year.

BUT - we can’t do it without YOU, our incredible community. Please consider a tax-deductible donation today to help us raise $2,000 for our Fringe production costs. Every penny counts!

Love,

Amanda, Grayce, and Sara
