Daniel Annable shapes as one of the best AFL Fantasy prospects in this year’s draft.

He dominated the Coates Talent League with an average of 114 points, showing his elite work rate and all-round midfield craft. His VFL form with Brisbane was also solid — two tons from eight games prove he can already match it with senior bodies.

Annable wins the ball in tight, spreads hard, and impacts the scoreboard. He ticks every box you want in a Fantasy midfielder and looks ready to make an impact when his opportunity comes.

Aidan Schubert put together a massive year across every level of South Australian footy.

He averaged 109 AFL Fantasy points in the SANFL U18s, 94 at the Under-18 Championships, and 85 in the SANFL Reserves — and even made his SANFL League debut for Centrals in the finals.

As a key forward, consistency at AFL level can be hard to find, but with his athleticism and scoreboard impact, he could develop into one of the better fantasy scorers in that role.

Just over a week to go until the AFL Draft!

As part of our AFL Fantasy Draft Profiles series, we’re releasing data we’ve collected from the state leagues and the Under 18 Championships.

Next up is Oliver Greeves, the 191cm Eastern Ranges co-captain who blends size, skill, and versatility to great effect. He averaged strong fantasy numbers this season and put up a monster 172-point game in the preliminary final against the Rebels, finishing with 35 disposals and four goals.

With his ability to win the ball, push forward, and hit the scoreboard, Greeves looks every bit a future AFL Fantasy gun.

Not long now to the AFL Draft!

As part of our AFL Fantasy Draft Profiles series, we’re releasing data we’ve collected from the state leagues and the Under 18 Championships.

Next up is Sam Grlj — The Griller (or The Sizzler, depending on who you ask) — one of the most exciting players to watch this year.

The Oakleigh Chargers product burst onto the scene with blistering speed and attacking flair. A former half-back turned outside midfielder, Grlj takes ground aggressively and loves to run and carry. His daring style makes him stand out, and if he settles across half-back at AFL level, his line-breaking game could translate beautifully for fantasy coaches.

Less than two weeks to the AFL Draft!

As part of our AFL Fantasy Draft Profiles series, we’re releasing data we’ve collected from the state leagues and the Under 18 Championships.

Next up is Lachy Dovaston, the lively Eastern Ranges small forward who kicked 38 goals this season and helped his side claim the Coates Talent League flag.

He averaged 85 points in the VFL, 83 in the Talent League, and 67 at the Under 18 Championships — some solid numbers for a crafty forward who knows how to find the goals.

Riley Onley is a tall, powerful midfielder who blends size, speed, and clean hands to move the ball from inside to out.

At 195cm, he shares traits with big-bodied stars like Marcus Bontempelli and Patrick Cripps — using his strength and burst to impact contests. Onley was one of the most consistent fantasy scorers at underage level, averaging 80+ points in both the Talent League and the Under 18 Championships.

He wins clearances, breaks lines, and pushes forward to hit the scoreboard. If he can build his tank and maintain his impact late in games, he’s got all the tools to become a serious fantasy performer in the years ahead.

The AFL Fantasy Draft Profiles series continues with Beau Addinsall, a prolific ball-winning midfielder from the Gold Coast Suns Academy who looks every bit a future fantasy player.

He averaged 109 points in the Talent League this season, showcasing clean hands, strong stoppage craft, and the ability to run in waves to link up play. He only managed one U18 Championships game due to injury but likely would’ve posted strong numbers had he played more.

Addinsall has already gained senior experience at VFL level and looks capable of becoming a solid fantasy contributor once he breaks into the Suns’ stacked midfield.

The AFL Fantasy Draft Profiles series continues with Adam Sweid, an Essendon NGA prospect who’s bounced back superbly from an ACL injury to become one of this year’s standout smalls.

The 176cm midfielder-forward averaged 25 disposals and five tackles per game for the Calder Cannons, showcasing his speed, work rate, and tenacity around the ball. He also impressed for Vic Metro, earning All-Australian honours after a four-goal, nine-score-involvement performance against the Allies.

While his Talent League numbers highlight his fantasy potential, players of his size rarely transition into full-time AFL midfielders. Sweid will likely settle as a small pressure forward — a role that might cap his fantasy scoring but make him a valuable AFL contributor.

Willem Duursma is the likely number one pick in this year’s draft.

He’s one of the few draftees to average over 80 points in all three of his competitions: 106 in the Talent League, 95 at the Under-18 Championships, and 80 in the VFL.

Whether he plays off half-back, wing or in the midfield, Duursma’s endurance, composure and ability to find the footy make him one of the standout prospects in this year’s class.

With the AFL Draft just around the corner, we’re breaking down another exciting prospect for Fantasy coaches.

Next up is Dyson Sharp, a strong-bodied inside midfielder who thrives on winning the contest.

He averaged 107 points per game at the U18 Championships and 92 in the SANFL Under 18s, while also gaining valuable senior experience with nine league games for Central District.

Sharp’s a natural ball-winner who breaks tackles and extracts the footy cleanly - a reliable fantasy scorer in waiting.
