One week ago tonight, I lived the most magical night of my career. I was telling a friend how insane it is that I'd never been to a single fashion show and the first one I ever attended, I was the designer. Can you believe that? 😭 A massive thank you to our host with the most @pankti_doshi and @thesilkroadshow for making this happen and for encouraging me to seize the opportunity. 🥹 It's so clear you don't do this for fame or status, but to make a difference to small brands like mine. To everyone behind the scenes- the lighting and music teams, photographers, videographers, influencers, journalists, hair and makeup, backstage assistants- thank you for all your hard work🙌 To the absolutely lovely @aditithebrand for the stunning jewellery that our models wore which complemented Shikra and the looks so perfectly. This is a fabulous south asian female owned brand that everyone should go support right now🥹. My aunt and cousins already bought her jewellery and love it! To my insanely talented models, for being such wonderful humans and for bringing the best energy and camaraderie a runway has ever known. You will always be special to me because this was my first runway show and you all made it incredible 💛💛 To our super gifted friend @kapeeshkappykap for the insane music mix and background visual😍 To my family and friends around the world who encouraged me to do this and cheered me on from a far- thank you. A special thanks to my cousin who came from New York, my aunt, uncle and cousin who travelled from Dallas, and my baby brother who flew in from the UK to support me in person, after what has been such a difficult month for our family as we mourn a huge loss🥺, thank you for everything. To my new angel in heaven, who I know had a hand in making these two events a success, thank you🕊 And last but never least, the love of my life and hopefully all my future lives, Tham. It takes a truly special soul to give up a two-week break from their full-time job to work full time, overtime and unpaid for their wife's clothing brand. Truly blessed to have you. 🥹🥹 My heart is so full. Here's to many more blessings for my little brand with the biggest heart🫶
