A heartfelt collaboration with @swallowtailhuis brings a bit of the North Friesan Islands to Maine. Organically raised sheep and eco tanned sheepskin, in kinder size (for little ones or dining chairs or the car) and XL (for underfoot, the chaise lounge, the bed). Rich in lanolin thanks to the tanning process (not found in chrome tanned hides) these are truly antimicrobial and grounding. And incredibly beautiful. #healthyhome #beautifulhome #littleluxury #littlevillagemaine

Well aside from your standardized list of gratitude items, I am grateful that I now know more about Dutch West wood burning stoves than, well, ever.
I've never used one let alone cleaned, took apart or even moved one.
I don't want to do the latter. Ever. Again.

We use these items more than any other baby items we own. And for more than I could list in the reel.

More of the ways we use each of these items
Prefolds from @bumblebee_diaperservice
•I use these instead of chucks pads during birth and postpartum
•I put them under me and baby when they nurse and are little to catch all the spilled milk so it doesn’t get on my sheets
•also put them under baby to catch spit up when they are on the bed or ground

Flats are from @greenmtndiapers
•during those first couple weeks I stuff these in my bra or shirt to catch my heavy letdown
•we use these in the bath keep tiny newborns warm

Sheepskins are from @eastperry and @swallowtailfarm
•I’ve birthed my last two babies on a sheepskin
•on the floor for movie watching
•we’ve taken them camping as our sleeping mats
And yes we use them throughout the summer months too.

Pardon our mess as we enter the very early stages of our front garden renovation. Lots of timber on the ground. More to tumble. For each arborvitae we fell, another two of native evergreen, sugar maple, aspen, dogwood and others will be added. Oh and the edible farm, we will double our planting PLUS we’re adding native milkweed as we build our Monarch sanctuary! Our namesake Swallowtails will suckle on our extended pollinator garden. xo

Thank you @stihl for the amazing easy start chainsaw. Makes for easy work.

We had the privilege of attending @primorestaurant inaugural #makersmarket alongside the most inspiring talent. @sylviroy.creative your ceramics are sublime.

We dropped our #HoneyBerry yogurt and sold out in an instant. Fresh picked from @fullforkfarm, the decision is made… @swallowtailcreamery is launching Honey Berry as our everyday fruit varietal. Stay tuned for our retail partners stocking this native North American treasurer.

We sampled our cultured butter which is creamed off the top of our creamy Greek yogurt when it wakes from a 12 hour slumber. So rich in color, our #culturedbutter is regularly mistaken as cheese! Limited supplies will soon be available for order via our updated webshop.

Thank you @primorestaurant for the most incredible event! August 10 cannot come soon enough for Makers Market No.2. A very special thanks to #pastrychef Mel Legare @melicious1985 for her love and generous breads and focaccia that paired so nicely with our creamy butter. @chefmelissak the oasis you’ve created in #midcoastmaine is #heavenonearth x

Yesterday we received the call from @fullforkfarm, “I just picked Honey Berries and I’ve a couple of flats if you wanna try to work some magic.” Our answer, “Heck yeah!” What follows is time lapse over 16 hours. The berries arrived at 6:45 PM on July 7. Our Honeyberry variety dropped July 8, 11am at @freedom_farmers_market at the @thelostkitchen. A massive success! The feedback… “Pleasantly tart and not too sweet,” “Taste like a fresh pie.” “Wow!” Search Honey Berries and let us know what you think. Should we consider the berry a new permanent product? Carr to sample? We are dropping the varietal again on the 13th. Standby for the release location. x

We look to the past as we navigate our future. This shingle speaks to long and countless hours, sleepless nights, and ultimately significant joy; our rescued treasure soon displayed in place of honor.

One of the sweetest things that came with the big new/old farmhouse is this sweet kitty, Squishy! From the second we met Squishy we fell in love and decided to keep her and a couple of her little compatriots here. She loves people and has a super bright presence !

A lot of people said they loved seeing the video of the cream removal, so Im sharing more of that with a little look at what happens after that! This is one of my favorite parts of the process that brings you Swallowtail yogurt! . Each batch is different and each day there is variation in how much cream the kettle has and what texture the yogurt is.
My next favorite part after this is adding the fruit sauces to bring you the yummy flavors!
Grateful to Sean and Lauren for imparting their wisdom from their years at @swallowtailfarm so that now we can continue with @swallowtailcreamery and keep bringing the creamiest yogurt around, straight to you! 😋
