if you’re a big fan of experimental melodic rap check out zaeanarky 💛

zae has been tapped in with ORS for a minute man it’s been beautiful to watch his evolution

coming out of baltimore, he has been dropping on streaming platforms since early 2021 with his debut single “lovesick.” embodying a smooth and moody vocal style, he kinda reminds me of an early trippie redd

a main part of zae’s messaging is his journey through past struggles in life. in “did you forget?,” zae goes through everything that he’s had to go through and yet still come out the other side stronger. it’s an intense almost freestyle like vocal performance with a thumping bassline that really keeps you locked into what he’s saying

part of the reason why lyrics like these are so motivating is because of the community that he’s cultivated through the hashtag #nevermore. this community that he’s built is based on the foundations of lifting each other up and realizing that everyone struggles in life, but they all have each other to lean on. it’s a beautiful thing to see man

not only does he lift people up with his lyrics, but with his melodic rap ability as well. in songs like, “winner’s circle,” he uses that classic autotune electric beat on top of a humming bass line to make a really smooth experimental rap piece. he really just has a vocal quality that’s perfect for rapping. even on songs like, “booster gold!,” he doesn’t really show much range but he’s able to just slide on a classic trap beat as well. he has such a great natural voice and it contributes a lot to his ability to be versatile on different tracks

if you’re looking for someone who matches the sound of an early trippie redd type rapper, i recommend you check out zaeanarky. what do y’all think? do you hear the trippie redd comparisons? did you like the mike breen sample in “booster gold!”? lmk below<3

something a lil different than what I been releasing. You think should I drop this one on all platforms??? also PS. I don't like giving ppl just a lil #snippet of my new songs so i'ma just give yall the full song cuz in my opinion, everyone's favourite parts of a song isn't always the same and it's too difficult to predict which parts of the song are going to resonate with the most people so. #newmusic #underground #melodic
