Was able to swing by and catch the end of the “Friendly Folk Festival” at @cedargrovesauna yesterday! Missed out on seeing Thorn & Shout 😔 but was still a wonderful time all around! Sweating it out in the sauna was a much needed break but I can’t wait for winter sauna-ing and rolling around in the snow with the neighbors!

Next up in our ongoing Summer series at the Ro-He-Ge this Saturday, August 12 is a SUPREME evening with @swamptrees stirring up the steamy oceanic air with ballads of earthen grit hailing from Richmond, VA to rootdown in Maine. On tour, @john_bellows & @glenn.hendrick travel by way of San Juan Islands, Washington, offering an array of “playfully haphazard” tales & tribulations sure to rev up the night into full blast. We welcome the grand return of Toussaint St. Negritude to deliver sonic divinations & salutations from the Vermont mountain scaling star-lore poetic exaltations and new form wandering free-jazz works within the night’s stellar landscape. PREPARE THY DOME. Finally, Belfast’s own Asa Irons will offer his innvocative song-smith & hammer string stylings before switching it up with Corum into full Coiling choral & wind-warped whistling Rusty Cross duet which summoned the bats last summer. As always, a killer line-up of unusual sounds to reward regional seekers & curious travelers alike! All starts at 7 sharp. East Belfast, Maine @ 12 Mill Ln. (right off route 1 up the street from Perry’s Nuthouse) #rohege #psychicsounds
