Can’t complain your lower back hurts during leg day lifts but you keep skipping these 3 warmups. ➡️

Warmups should be more than just stretching . You need to be activating and prepping the muscles you are going to be working. Get them ready for load so you don’t have to compensate and have your lower back take the hit.

I do 3 sets of 10 of these before I ever grab a single weight to lift.

What is your favorite lower body drill to warmup with?

Postpartum exercises I wouldn’t miss both as a trainer and as a mom of 2 who has gone through it.

These aren’t about “bouncing back.” They’re about rebuilding strength, stability, and confidence so your body feels strong again.

1. Posterior Chain Strength — Romanian Deadlift (RDL)
Rebuilds your glutes and hamstrings while teaching you to create core tension and move from your hips. Huge for all the lifting and carrying that comes with motherhood.

2. Single-Leg Strength — Split Squat
Helps rebuild strength and stability one side at a time, especially after months of your body compensating and changing throughout pregnancy.

3. Adductor Strength — Copenhagen Plank
Your inner thighs are an important part of your core and pelvic stability. Start with a shortened lever and progress as you get stronger.

4. Anti-Rotation Core — Pallof Press
One of my favorites for teaching your core to resist movement and stabilize without relying on endless crunches.

5. Loaded Carries — Farmer’s Carry
Simple but SO effective. Builds core strength, grip, posture, and full-body stability aka strength that actually translates to carrying babies, car seats, bags, and everything else.

And if you’re ready to get strong again postpartum but need somewhere you can bring your baby with you, Mommy & Me is BACK at Sweat Fixx. 🖤

📍 Arlington: Tuesdays at 10AM starting 9/8
📍 Wakefield: Wednesdays at 10AM starting 9/9 with me!

Bring your baby. Lift. Rebuild your strength. And do it alongside other moms who get it.

Head to sweatfixx.com or the @sweatfixx link in bio to book all 6 weeks.

Join @boochiewallie and guest instructor @erincooleyfit from @sweatfixx for a badass circuit class on Saturday 8/29 at 8:20am.

Erin brings years of experience as a trainer, plus is a superstar TFS client. You’ll probably recognize her from her lightning fast speeds on the treadmills and her heavy ass weights she uses when she takes class.

Together with Booch, the ultimate hype girl and DJ extraordinaire, expect class to be one of the highlights of the summer!

ROW TIP : Your heels don’t need to stay glued down.

Heels can come up at the catch, but drive them down as you push.

Allowing your heels to naturally lift as you come into the catch gives you the ankle mobility + compression you need to get into a strong position.

Then DRIVE those heels down as you push away to:
→ Create more power through your legs
→ Get more out of every stroke
→ Keep the drive legs-first instead of pulling early with your arms
→ Row stronger + more efficiently

Remember: the rower is a LEG-driven machine. Use them.

When that beat drops, ya know? 🕺

Kids always welcome to hang (and dance) in the @sweatfixx lobby while you get your workout in!

Note: He is mine and certainly knows a good playlist when it comes on 🤗.

I’ve never felt more seen . No 8lb weights are safe in my TRAIN class 😂

But really I think good instructors know what their clients should be lifting to get the results they want, and gives YOU the confidence to grab that weight.

If you want to go to a class where the instructor is just a DJ and a timer, ladies I will not be for you.

But if you want to see what you’re capable of and see real change.. well you have come to the right place.

Want to test your core stability try this renegade row cross climber and try to do it without your hips rocking all over the place .

This is a great full body exercise to add to your workout arsenal during your back day .
