👉There’s something about a good military-style field watch that just works. No unnecessary complications, no fuss, just a clean, legible dial and a design that feels purposeful.

The @marloewatchco Aerodyne takes that familiar military field watch aesthetic and adds a healthy dose of aviation inspiration. The crisp white dial, bold outlined numerals, orange accents and brushed case give it a distinctive look, while the overall design pays tribute to the pioneering pilots and aircraft of the past.

For this shoot, I wanted to capture that sense of adventure and history. Old books, vintage maps, weathered textures and a few carefully chosen props helped create the atmosphere. I particularly love the engraved caseback featuring the Aerodyne Mk.I aircraft, so naturally that deserved a shot of its own.

It’s a watch that really lends itself to storytelling through photography, and I had a lot of fun putting this set together. Sometimes the setting is just as important as the watch itself.

We’ve spent some proper hands-on time with the Aerodyne, alongside the Marloe Skysplitter Airway. Head over to watchbrothers.co.uk for our full review and more photography.

What do you think of the Aerodyne? Would you choose this clean white dial or something a little more traditional?

Here’s a few lume shots of the new @laventurewatches Marine Type 3 to get your Friday night lume battle juices going watchfam. 🤙

It’s an insanely great-looking watch with a full lume dial that really pops. Huge fans of the slim grade 23 titanium case, the vintage inspired marine chronograph design elements and the plexiglass crystal that really makes this something very different in the collection.

If you’re looking for something very different, check out Neil’s @zrc.1904 Spatiale 300.

A rare relic from one of the most defining moments in human history. Released to mark the Apollo 🚀 8 Moon 🌕 Orbit, limited to just 1000 pieces. We’ve only come across a handful in the wild, and it’s easy to see why.

ZRC weren’t just another watchmaker. Their work with Jacques Cousteau and the French Navy cemented their place in dive watch history. This very model even picked up a bronze medal at the 1968 Besançon Watch Fair, making it a fitting piece from the year everything changed.

38mm of brushed steel. A faded blue dial that’s aged into something far better than new. Pumpkin-toned indices and hands. Scratches on the bezel that tell stories rather than flaws. Inside, a self-winding PUW 1463 movement quietly doing its job decades on.

And then the quirks: crown and date at 4, day at 9 and the razor sharp steel two piece bracelet. Unusual. Unapologetic. Completely its own.

Originally rated to 300m, though today it’s earned a quieter life. Still, every detail, from the domed plexi to the engraved caseback, speaks to an era where function, exploration, and design genuinely pushed boundaries.

This isn’t just a watch. It’s 1968 on the wrist. Space exploration. Craftsmanship. Personal history. We love it.

He’s looking sell if anyone is interested. DM for more info ℹ️
