Sakari “Afton” and I earned the highest score of the day at the Millbrook show on Sunday, and a cash award sponsored by Sage Creek Equestrian - Jim & Donnette 💕 Thank you so much, I’m honored. This weekend, we were able to earn a 70.5% in test 4-3. The goal was to continue to earn her trust in the ring, have a positive experience, and grow together as a partnership. We were able to achieve this, and so much more. We are qualified for regionals, have a new personal best at 4-3, and feel ready to prepare for FEI Prix St Georges. Thank you all for your kind words and encouragement as this journey has challenged me. We have come so far these past 8 months. It’s so wonderful to feel her so happy in her work and ready to move on. Love you Sis🖤🔥

I finally have a moment to reflect on my accomplishments last season. After a whirlwind weekend of symposium and the banquet, I have time to recognize my gratitude for what my horses and I accomplished. I rode both tests for 4th level scores towards my silver during one show weekend, which was two shows. Then went immediately to learning the PSG to get the next two scores needed. It was a huge huge HUGE undertaking and I’m beyond proud of every single step of every ride it took to get those last two scores. I feel every bit as proud of the third place in PSG in Utah as if it were a gold medal. The tears, frustration, and breakthroughs to get there, were no joke. lol. I earned my bronze on a gypsy, and my silver on a Friesian cross. In just four total years. It can be done on non traditional horses and I’m living proof of that. Dreamer earned his Third level equine achievement award for the 2025 season as well. I can’t wait to see where this year of the horse takes us during show season. I’m grateful to my coach @sweet.d.of.sc for her unwavering belief in me. Thank you, truly , a deep felt thank you. It takes great courage to put one’s self out in the public. So many people only show the absolute perfect moments. I want to share with you, all the steps along our journey. River Shadow (junior ) is a Friesian cross whom I have had the pleasure of learning from this winter. We are heading into show season and have been really working on this , showing a very open throat latch with a lengthened neck, and an uphill frame . He is certainly teaching me a lot and I’m super grateful to @sweet.d.of.sc for sharing this horse with me. #dressage #manelylonghair #springhassprung #letsdance #silvermedalgoals

Amelia tried something new and did the Impact of the Horse @impactofthehorse at sage creek! She got champion in the Rugged Mountain Youth (trail course) and reserved champion for the freestyle, she had so much fun and this was an amazing experience. Definitely doing it again next year! Thank you so much @sweet.d.of.sc for letting her have this opportunity!

We got the phone call last night, every horse owner dreads. Our horse, Fidelo Star, “Fido”was colicking. Prayers, and with the help of earth angels, Tricia Carlson, Donnette and Jim Hicks, Rebecca and Heidi Harmon. He fought the fight and pulled through. He is getting older, but last night was not his time to go. With horses, every day is a gift. Only those who own them understand the deep connection between horse and owner. So very grateful 🙏🙏
