Swipe to see our schedule for Karanga-a-Hape Art Weekend 18-20 Sep ⚡️

Artists Estefana Correa and Armani Reynolds-Hatem will be speaking to their work and answering your questions in a panel-style Artists’ Talk, which will begin at 1 pm, Saturday 19 Sep at HAUMI E STUDIOS, 151 Karanga-a-Hape Rd, CBD.

——

Estefana Correa (Mexicana, Pakeha)
Estefana paints to create imagery that acts as an action to understand the duality of life and grief culturally. Using concepts around the physical distance of homelands and grieving something never had in scenes of girlhood that are surrealist in their own right. The work attempts to walk the line between what is sculptural and what is painting as a means to further explore contradictory realities of post colonised identity, spiritual realms, and the intangibility of emotion.

——

Before coming to HAUMI E STUDIOS you can stop by @moat.gallery and @msjd_gallery artist/curator talks. See @karangahape_art @artspace.aotearoa @kroadnz for more
